A great product while it worked but a six month life-cycle is not good enough for me. Having said that Fellowes customer service was brilliant and I received a replacement within 4 days of notifying the fault; for that reason, I've given the product four stars.UPDATEI've now had three of these units - fortunately all replaced under warranty - but all suffering the same fault which is that the fan stops working, altogether. The first unit failed after six months, the second after four months and the third lasted 21 months. Today I've just requested another replacement and luckily I'm just inside my warranty period which will expire in May. Fellowes says it has never heard of the fault that I keep getting but can't find anything wrong with the way I'm using the product - I literally have it switched on day and night.As I said originally, it's a great product when its working and because it's trouble and cost-free to get it replaced under warranty, I will buy another one when the next replacement fails (and I'm out of warranty).Update 10/12/23I did buy a replacement in 2018 and it's still working in 2023 so it looks like they've resolved the fan issue I had with earlier versions. Would definitely recommend.

I bought this because I kept waking up with a blocked or runny nose and it was suggested it good be some sort of allergy. I find it very quiet, unless something pollutes the air and sends it into orange or red mode (happens sometimes when we have windows open in summer as we live by a main road. Otherwise, it's not intrusive to my sleep at all. I switch it on when I go up to get ready for bed, and switch it off when I wake up. At first, I didn't think it made much difference. I soon realised that it was when I first forgot to switch it on, and again when I first stayed at someone else's house- the stuffy nose was back! I wouldn't be without it now.My only criticism is that the lights on it are very bright- the default light is a very bright neon blue. Lights aren;t really necessary at all and may bother people when trying to get to sleep.

Fellowes units are solid on most part and this one is a great unit for those smaller spaces. We have a couple of different Fellowes units and this is the newest, so far so good.Why 4 stars?Well, it does get a bit carried away when it detects low quality air levels, if that makes sense. For example our other units will show a red status and speed up the fan but will probably have it sorted out and drop back to Green status pretty soon but this seems to hold on to RED status for a bit to long in my humble opinion. Just my observation really..Would I recommend?Yes I would and this unit seems to be good value at the price I paid anyway.

I was living in a house where mould was a serious issue. Every single member of my family was falling ill as a result of it. Albeit we were planning to move shortly, we needed something to help us in the meantime. Thus, I purchased this Air Purifier quite unsure if it would help. It surpassed my most hopeful expectations, though! It was nothing shorter than miraculous. After 24 hours, my mother's asthma attacks became less frequent, my dog's cough less alarming and my allergies much less troublesome. I particularly like that it has a sensor which informs you of the quality of the air by changing the colour of one of the lights (from blue to amber, from amber to red). The more polluted the air, the harder the purifier will work (this also contributes to its energy efficiency). The only caveat is that this purifier is only meant for small rooms (8m2), but I have used it in a slightly bigger room with good results. It was very easy to assemble, something rare these days. I seldom write product reviews, but I was so impressed by this Air Purifier that I felt compelled to leave one praising it.

This has made such a difference in my asthmatic son's room. I have bought a further one for my daughter and I might buy more. They are quiet and effective. I keep it on automatic 24/7. I cannot stress how good these are. If you have young children and can afford to, please get one. It makes such a difference to the air going in their little lungs.I bought a mould growing kit from a popular allergy site and left it in my son's room for an hour with the air purifier on and then grew it in the airing cupboard for 3 days. If you get a few mould colonies that is fine and normal, if you get lots then you need to take action. I had literally nothing. I tried it again and nothing. I contacted the company and they checked the batch, which was fine. The air purifier was so good that there is no mould spores in the air whatsoever.
