Cry for Help Paperback – January 19, 2017

Gritty crime story with a complex protagonist, great dialogue and plenty of suspense as a recently retired police officer attempts to help uncover the connection between a drug kingpin and a psychopathic serial killer bent on his own warped jihad. Author clearly knows his way around the criminal mind, I liked the way members of the police department would clash at times, and looking forward to what I hope becomes a series. Very good book and I did enjoy!

A refreshing take on a New York crime story. Realistic bad guys, diabolical plotlines, and intense action are merely the back drop to a story about friendship, when friendship is needed. Obviously written by a real detective as Cry For Help delves into the things the public doesn't see in it's protectors, depression, desperation, and a quest for purpose. A writing style on par with any of the great suspense writers, minus the 'Save the World' mission that seems to be the norm, unless the world is the dangerous battleground called The Bronx.

Interesting plot with very detailed police procedure.

Conelli does a solid job of introducing readers to the dynamics of the cop mindset. A true police procedural energized by the grit and sarcasm unique to the NYPD. Unlike other novels, Cry for Help finds its characters in the Bronx, a forgotten borough on so many levels. But, after reading Cry for Help, its unlikely to be forgotten again -- like the streets and alleyways of the Bronx, the twists and turns of this story will keep you reading from the opening lines to the last page.

Great read. I'm not saying so because I know the author but because it was gr8 reading. Being former law informant (detective) I was right there with Conelli & his main characters, at the crime scene & in the bar & the office. If you are not in law enforcement he takes the reader right there. Buy this book, sit back & enjoy the ride.

I enjoyed reading your book. It was fast paced and kept my interest. I will look forward to reading more by Marco Conelli.
