They don't make books like this anymore - except this book!
I miss the old educational children's books, most nowadays are too busy with boring bits and text or are totally uninspiring. Usborne used to do really educational books with great pictures and text pitched to the right level - this book does what all those old books do! Pitched at a perfect level with the right mix of informative text and inspiring pictures.

Beautifully illustrated paperback featuring a two-page spread for each habitat
This book 'Living Habitats' is one of a series of four books about the natural environment and if this paperback is any indication then they are all worth getting. This 32-page book is beautifully illustrated and filled with information about the variety of different habitats (and the animals that live there) on the Earth including tropical rainforest, desert, mountains, tundra and the artic. As the blurb says ' explore our planet's wide range of habitats, from the cold wastes of the northern tundra to the lush rainforests of the tropics, and meet the plants and animals that live there'. The style of the book is very accessible and contains some bite-sized fun facts on each page as well as the main habitat story across two pages.I think this would make a lovely gift for a child interested in nature and the environment. I am pleased with this product and am happy to recommend.

Really captivating
My 7+8 year old brain box lad is really enjoying this fact book. It really is quelling his thirst for knowledge. The illustrations really bring the book to life, they're bright and vivid and captivating. The format is very easy to read through as it isn't too intense. An excellent book that's physically high quality too. Printed and bound to a perfect standard too.
