Update 31 Jan 2023 - still issues
31 Jan 2023 update.I received a message that the firmware has been updated and Ajax have been swapping out those that don’t work for people free of charge. So well done Ajax! 5*I haven’t had these 4 for over 24 hours yet, so I will add details once time has passed.3 out of 4 are working. But I have one that will pair but then doesn’t do anything. I’ll try again later but if it doesn’t work then I’ll exchange it.Issues / problems:See the photos.1. They do not fit UK switched socket faceplates2. These are too big to put side by side in an extension gang with or without switches3. If you do manage to get them in a double socket, the operating button on one is impossible to use, because it’s on the side4. The operating button should be on the topI have no idea how a CE mark has been given (except EU doesn’t have switched type G faceplates) or how these have got past Trading Standards *without* being marketed as *not to be used with switched faceplate sockets* in very bold letters. There’s no problem without a switch on the faceplate. If like me you want side by side you have 3 choices.1. Buy *mini* versions (not sold by Ajax, but they cost a lot more). They also have the buttons on top ;-)2. Use a 3 or 4 gang socket without switches and lose 2 or 3 sockets as you can’t use them3. Use faceplates without switchesMy wish list:Make them mini sizedButton on topThey would be 5* if that is doneWill I buy more? Not until they are smaller and the buttons on top.Home Assistant integrations. All functions show up in ZHA, which is why I bought them. So I can monitor energy use of my washing machine and dryer. In zigbee2mqtt the power monitoring functions are not only disabled, but I was unable to turn them on at all. No idea why. So I’m going to have to use ZHA for some items and zigbee2mqtt for other items.Which means 2 x zigbee sticks ….29 Jun 2022 UPDATE:Soooooooo Ajax, who sell these, KNOW about the problem. I found a forum and the Ajax person you want to communicate with is called Ajay. There is an issue on *some versions* of hardware and firmware, that if there is a voltage spike over 250v, then CLICK. It switches off. Newer versions don't do it. So buy wisely.I also have a PV and home battery system and to export electricity the voltage has to be slightly higher than the grid voltage, so that may also have an effect.Once I found that out I put a time domain graph and my voltage seems to max out at 253+v - bear in mind, we *harmonised* with the EU at 220/230v. But we didn't.I have emailed Ajax 2 weeks ago, no reply at all. Not very good. I also messaged the seller from Amazon. Nada as well. Ah well.... Won't buy from them again. Caveat emptor fellow Amazonians!AnywayHow does such shoddy equipment get allowed to be sold on Amazon?I bought these throwing the dice on 50/50 based reviews. I failed.Don't be disappointed, don't buy them.1. plug in2. pair3. move to equipment socket4. turn equipment on test functionality5. 3 - 10 seconds CLUNK. Turned off. Both of themOne of the plugs I can't even get the 13amp plug into as the prongs/sockets inside don't match the moulded plug holes.Rubbish.

Works Well With Samsung SmartThings
Got these Zignito Zigbee plugs to replace WiFi ones that I had been using with Samsung SmartThings. These Zignito plugs paired with SmartThings first time and have worked great since. Would definitely recommend these in favour of WiFi plugs or even SmartThings own zigbee plugs if you want to control devices using SmartThings.

These trip at 251v
I’ve connected these using ZHA in home assistant and from that perspective they work great. I get all the energy monitoring i was hoping to receive (Volts, Amps, Watts, KWh).The issue is these will trip at 251v which is not configurable. Yes 251v is high, but the DNO regard the safe range for UK domestic voltage to be as high as 253v. Unfortunately for me our voltage averages 245v but during the peak evening loads (5-10pm) I regularly see spikes over 251v meaning these constantly trip so I can’t have these plugged into anything critical. From my understanding the voltage supply to your property will vary based on the state of your local transformer and also how far away you are from it. So if you are fortunate enough to be near to a stable 230v supply this won’t be an issue for you. They don’t appear to reset themselves when they trip. You have to switch them off and back on again to resume power however they do continue to be manageable over home assistant when they trip so I still get data and can still remotely power cycle them. I have spoken with the seller and they responded (very quickly) that these particular models can’t be fixed by any firmware and that they are looking to release an updated model that doesn’t trip at this voltage.

Good product
This product works as advertised and I am very happy with it. The plug pairs really fast and works well. Indicator light is somewhat weirdly placed but since you're not going to interact with it often it's not that important. I'm happy to say that switching between on/off is silent enough to not hear it unless you're right next to it which very appreciated. Power monitoring is a really great feature and is the main reason I got these plugs and works well. Home Assistant finds the plug easily and you get all the features available (take that Aqara). Overall a great product and I'm glad I found a 4 pack (in a way as they came individually packed) available. One thing, which I don't care too much about but enough to mention it, is that all 4 plugs had signs of usage which means that they were not brand new (packages were not sealed and plug marks around each of the holes and all around the the surface of the plug face).

Keep switching off due to over voltage
I use this to monitor power usage, including on my computer but every few days all the plugs (8 of them) just switch off. After some googling I discoved this is a know issue and nothing can be done to prevent it.After further research I discovered the issue is caused by the British power company and people pushing solar power into the grid. Results in 250V hitting the plugs and this causes the plug to switch off.

No drop outs yet! Edit: I was wrong.
I've finally had a dropout. It took several days but I had them drop out at the same time randomly last night.Honestly not good enough.I'll write a workaround for my system but this simply shouldn't be an issue, guys. Dropped a star.Original review:Regarding the other reviews, I've not had any dropouts in the week I've owned one. The item listing said "firmware update regarding the reviews", so I believe there's a chance it's been fixed. Fingers crossed. I'll update if anything changes (17 Jun 22 at time of writing)It's still the only reasonably-priced UK zigbee plug with power monitoring I can find, so I'm ordering more!
