.com Young Nashville neophyte Meredith Edwards seems more influenced by the teenybopper sultriness of a popster like Britney Spears than by the countrified earnestness of a Tammy Wynette. She possesses a sweet but unremarkable voice that merely sounds out of its depth on wrenching pop-country love ballads like "You," "Places in Your Heart," and the title tune. But here and there, as on more inspired songs like "In Any Given Moment," the quirky "The Bird Song," and the teen-tortured "This Is the Heartache," Edwards is allowed to play to her own youthfulness instead of struggling to affect a worldliness beyond her tender years. It's only then that she makes a case that she may well be more than just another vapid but cleverly packaged teen warbler who just happens to look good in a miniskirt and halter top. --Bob Allen

Unbelievable voice and album!
Outwardly, she looks like the typical teenage female pop star-sandy blonde haired, low-cut designer clothes, and a bright, sparkling smile. However, despite the fact that she may appear to be just another LeAnn Rimes, I warn you here and now not to be deceived by appearances. Meredith Edwards may look more like the next Britney Spears than a young Tanya Tucker, but she also has one of the most mature voices in country/pop music, and a great debut album to boot.REACH is an excellent reflection of Meredith's talent. The album contains a variety of songs, from traditional country to pop to the modern country music sound made popular by artists such as the Dixie Chicks. This variety of music shows the versatility of Meredith's voice, showcasing her ability to sing fun songs with little substance or lyrical content ("The Bird Song") to songs that allow her to show off her talent and captivate the listener with her beautiful voice ("Reach"). Adding to the album's strength is that fact that all songs are kept within what she has experienced, being only in her late teens. The songs are about young love ("A Rose Is A Rose"), friendship ("Reach"), heartbreak ("This Is The Heartache"), and in general, the joy that comes from relationships with others. Being a young listener myself, I liked the fact that I was able to relate to many of the songs on the album, giving Meredith's music a personal connection for me as well.If you like the music of other teen artists such as Jessica Andrews and Lila McCann, you will love Meredith Edwards. Buy a copy from amazon.com, and discover for yourself an extremely talented young woman who is sure to make a big name for herself in country music!

Awesome Debut by a talented young lady!
Meredith Edwards has a remarkable voice. When I first heard of this CD I was a little bit interested but I thought I would wait awhile. When I finally decided to buy this CD I listened to a few of the songs and realized this girl can sing! She's not just another pretty face."In Any Given Moment" is a song about how life can change in a single instant. It's a very catchy song. Both in tune and lyrics. "Reach" is a beautiful song about being able to turn to someone. This CD is packed with enchanting songs sang with such an honest heart. "But I Can't Let You Go" is a song about letting someone walk away but truly not letting them go. Absolutely beautiful."You" is a song about knowing you'll always have that special someoen there to be there no matter what happens. This CD has great songs about emotions and songs about having a special someone. There are many other songs that are worth mentioning as well. "You Get To Me", "A Rose is a Rose", "Ready To Fall", "Slow Learner", and "Places in Your Heart" are all worth mentioning. This girl definietly deserves more publicity than she's getting. This CD is worth every penny and I play it all the time.

Her Talent Is Just Within Your "Reach"
Whether you're a fan of country music or not, Meredith conveys tremendous emotion through her singing, displaying a full range of moods from sassy/quirky tunes like "The Bird Song" & "Slow Learner" (which showcases a sly humor) to poignant turns on numbers like "But I Can't Let You" (featuring promising new singer David Nail) & the uplifting "You".It's hard for me to pick a favorite track on this album since all of them are so good. "In Any Given Moment", "Ready to Fall", "You Get To Me", & "This Is The Heartache" are all wonderful songs that detailthe various stages of love, sorrow, and life in general. Meredith's music tells stories that everyone can relate to, whether you're nine or ninety-two.

Meredith's Music
This was a good debut album from Meredith. I wonder why she disappeared? Her voice wasn't particularly powerful, kinda girlie still [but she appears to be young so no surprise], but pleasant enough. This album is good modern country based on the lyrics and singing. Some good songs:In Any Given Moment - a spirted intro numberBird Song - singer imagines self as a bird looking at neighborhood's goings-on.Beautiful MessGet to MeSlow Learner - good uptempo tune, makes listener want to move, singer comes to realize there's nothing between her and her man. "Chemistry - we ain't got none."

Best New solo Country Artist!!!
I first heard of Meredith when she first was signed with Lance Bass of Nsync I got a smaple promo of her non-album track "You Know Me" I liked it but didn't really find that much intrest in her. The this past summer I saw her live at an Nsync cocnert and WOW she has the most beautiful voice! I went out and bought her CD the next day-I love it!!! My favorite tracks are "This is the Heartache" I love the line that goes "Is love only a trick of the night an illusion of mirror smoke and lights" and then I also love "IN any Given Moment" those two songs just are so me! The title track "Reach" and "I Can't Let Go" and "Places in Your Heart are also favs their beats just are different. The only full out country song is "Slow Learner" my friends day it describes me-lol!!! BUt anywoo I love this CD sooo muhc and you will too!!!
