Great throw weight, nice line.
I'm not an arborist, but I usually have some branches to remove, clean, etc. after a storm. Over the past week, we had 3 Nor'easter in NJ, and I had to get a few rather large oaks branches removed. They were broken, just dangling in the tree branches. In the past, I took a 3 oz lead fishing sinker and flung it up and over with some kite string, or the like. It worked most of the time, but I always worry about that lead weight cracking my skull open, even with a hardhat!I purchased this this past week to get a line up into the broken branches. Gave it a good swing, a few tosses, and got lucky...the weight went up and over, the line was smooth as silk, and slid nicely, did not hang up on the oak bark, and then I was able to tie and pull the rigging rope right up. Yanked the branches out with my truckThe weight bag stitching looks ok, D ring if good. Line is smooth. One complaint is the mess when I tried to untangle the rope out of the bag, and straighten the twists, etc. It was a twisted, knotted mess. Eventually got it all straight, put the line into small bucket, and it was ready for use. The line is a bit stiff, but I expect it will soften with a few more tosses. The color is easy to see when there are no leaves. No idea yet if I'll see it in the leaves.

this is the WORST kind of throw line you can buy
As an arborist I have to say that this is the WORST kind of throw line you can buy. It kinks up terrible and has way to much friction. Buy dynaglide throw line. I have both and NEVER use my zing-it line

Love this Thing
So simple yet so effective!!!!! At first I struggled with the fact I just spent 20 something bucks on a piece of rope and a bean bag , then I used it. WOW! It made tossing a line over a tree branch over 30 feet in the air to hang a dipole effortless! I was so impressed with this simple set up I wouldn't hesitate to tell any Amateur Radio Operator to get one!

Worked great, especially with water balloon launcher. Beware this rope burns skin fast when moving, even with light contact
Works really well. My son and I took down a bunch of dead branches from some tall pine trees using this to pull up a rope saw. The bag and its cord snuck almost effortlessly through clusters of branches, I was really impressed we didn't get it stuck anywhere. Only close call was when one throw hit the tree's trunk and ricocheted to a dead branch and got wrapped around it badly. Thankfully it was small and we were able to pull and snap that dead branch off using the throw rope.My son and I both learned the hard way to be sure there is absolutely no skin in contact with the rope when launching it - the rope causes intense skin burns really quickly when moving at high speeds. If you really need to let the rope slip lightly through your hands to be able to stop it after it reaches the branch you want, then wear leather gloves, long sleeves and long pants.I purchased and am happy to recommend the 16 oz. I never had to fear it not coming right back down after a throw, even through thick branches. To get it high up, we strapped a water balloon launcher onto a T-shaped 8' long 2x4 rig I built to launch the bag up to the high branches with rather good accuracy and plenty of inertia. That also added some good fun to our father-son branch trimming project.

Handy tool for getting branches out of trees beyond human reach and without a ladder
We hire someone to cut down trees in our yard and he had one of these that he used to bring down branches stuck in the trees. How clever and useful so we purchased. He actually tested ours out for us while here for more work so not sure if we will be good at it but that's not a po riblem with the throw ball but operator inexperience. 😉Once you take the rope out, be prepared to have something to wrap it around because it does get tangled. We used an electrical cord holder that worked great! Cool little tool

The only way to go.
It is hard to believe this would make such a difference in getting a rope up a tree. I used to tie things on ropes and spend too much time trying to get the rope in just the right spot on the tree but this thing is so easy to use I wish I would have bought it years ago.The combination of the perfect style bag and the incredibly strong nylon line makes it easy to get the rope right where you need it. The 1/8" nylon line glides easily with no resistance and is strong enough to pull any pulling rope over the tree. The only bad thing about it is it didn't last long at my house because my friends and family are always borrowing it.

Throws great but can get stuck between the limb and the trunk.
Got stuck between a limb and tree first time I threw it. Had to shoot it out with a 22 (tried shooting off the limb, but I shoot like I throw). Beads went everywhere. It threw real nice though. I added BB's and taped it back up with gorilla tape and it works like new!

Rope is junk
The throw weight is excellent. Well made and looks to hold up well. The rope is junk, came frayed and fibers pulled out. Five stars for the weight. Half a star for the rope.pictures are typical of entire length.

Good weight, junk rope.
The throw bag is a great quality! I ordered the 16oz bag and I am glad I did so. It is very heavy for launching but also gives a great shot at coming back down through Douglas fir canopy and branches. I have been launching it with the bigshot and it goes roughly 70ft. I might try a lighter bag and see if that goes higher. The reason for the 2 stars is the rope is crap! After about 8 launches it has freighting in the rope and gets good kinks in it. The weight is good, rope is junk.

Weight too light! Nylon rope burns, be careful.
Purchased this to help a friend who lost his drone on it's maiden flight. In concept a very good idea but this product has serious flaws. First, the nylon rope. Wear gloves, you have been warned. The bigger issue is the weight. So many perfect hand burning throws were wasted by it not being heavy enough to be pulled down by gravity (we were 30 feet up). After many attempts of the weight not pulling through the friction and gravity It got wedged trying to pull back to reset and despite shaking the hell out of that tree, we have no drone and had to cut the rope as we could not dislodge the weight.Buy some rope and a water bottle instead.

Great combo
This is my first experience with a throw bag and line. It took me over half an hour to get the branch I wanted! :) But that was due to my own inexperience and nothing to do with the product. I abused it pretty heavily my first day out, but it still looks like new despite the repeated crashes down to the ground and getting it stuck and then unstuck over and over again. The rope slid nicely across the branch yet held the knots to the throw bag and my actual climbing rope very well. When it does finally wear out, I’ll gladly replace it with the same thing.

Weight just right
Throw weight is just the right weight to throw far but not to heavy or too light. Polyprop rope doesn’t flex very well, but works OK. Changed rope to a softer more expensive rope. It doesn’t tangle as easy and doesn’t seem to get stuck on a branch like poly prop rope does. Colour of the throw weight is nice and bright to aid seeing while throwing in a tree before connecting a proper climbing rope.

Económico y de gran funcionalidad para trabajos de arboristas
La hondilla es excelente en peso y tamaño, la línea de tiro resultó bastante útil solo se le hicieron unos bucles en las puntas pero creo que es por el material
