He Still Moves Stones: Everyone Needs a Miracle

Perfect Nourishment for Weary, Hungry, Needy Souls
I've always enjoyed Max's writings; however, this book literally fed my hungry, weary soul. He so beautifully reminds us of Who Jesus is & what Jesus still does for us if we trust Him, believe Him, put our faith in Him. With his conversational, folksy, easy style, Max easily brings us into Jesus' very presence.

Homerun
I found this book very simple in its approach. At first I thought maybe too simple. However, as I finished it, I realized just how much God had used it to bring me change and peace! Thank you, Brother Max!

Awesome insight to God's Promises
The title drew me in to read this powerful insightful book. It did not disappoint as the scriptures quoted came alive with meaning as only Max Lucado can do. The author brings questions to the reader that compel one to confront questions about personal faith and the Christian life in our world of chaos.

Unmistakable Mastery for the Soul
This is a most powerful and empowering book. Max Lucado, a spiritual writer, refers to the way Christ moves the stones (obstacles) in your path with this title. Such relevant issues include feeling shame for past behaviors, when others let us down, facing discouragement, having a bad attitude and my personal favorite dealing with difficult relatives. Lucado who often writes with a whimsical format, wrote this book more on a pensive level although not critical. He even has a chapter he calls "Listless Christianity". My favorite quote in the book is "Faith sometimes begins by stuffing your ears with cotton". Meaning you have to ignore those who tell you that you aren't smart enough, not strong enough, not pretty enough, not tall enough, etc. to achieve your goals. After you have finished the text, there are study guides for you to review at your own pace. These study guides will provide the opportunity for you to apply what you have learned to your individual situation.

As usual, Max is the best :-)!
My adult study group got tired of doing deep studies. Max Lucado treats the Bible with respect and modernity, and brings it right on home. Thanks again, Mr ucado!

Not what was pictured
I’m sure this book is great, I haven’t read it yet but it does not look like the book pictured on the page. I love Max Lucado books so I’m not terribly upset over it. I hope this one is just as good!!

Meeting yourself by stepping into their shoes
Over the past couple of years, I have felt like a bruised reed and a smoldering wick - feeling weak and wavering in my Faith, but still trying to cling onto our Lord and learning to Trust Him.Max Lucado has brought bible stories into the here and now and allowed me to step into the shoes of Jesus and other people in the bible. Many stories made me cry, as I realized how much Jesus truly understands what we go through as human beings in sometimes difficult relationships.I met a lady at a retreat who was going through a similar season to me (desert, wilderness) and she recommended this book to me - am so glad she did! I would recommend it to others who are feeling weak in faith and hope - it's not a "feel good/self help" book, but one that will remind you of your humanity in a fallen world and how Jesus understands and acknowledges this. Even today, He still listens, speaks, heals and He still moves stones....
