Outmate Mini Digital Crane Scale 300kg/600lbs with LED (Plastic Shell,Orange)

Compared to other scales I have had, this is definitely an economy scale. It has a plastic casing rather than aluminum. This scale has a measurement hold button but it will only hold the position of the current measurement shown on the display. After you press it, it freezes the measurement. I was looking for a scale that would give a max weight where you can push hold at 0 kg and it would measure the max force loaded. I found another scale that is comparable to this one for about $10 more that is made of sturdier materials and will use the hold function in the way I need it. In summary, this is an economical scale, but you may want to spend a little more if you desire a more durable product and if you would prefer a more dynamic hold function.

After adding a 48" wide utility box with up to 200 lbs contents on the front of a utility trailer and a steel spare wheel on the tongue area I was curious what the trailers tongue weight was. This scale was perfect for doing that. The result was well below the trailer's limit of 240 lbs but that's why it's good know rather then guess.Tongue weight scales on Amazon go for around $300 and are really designed for heavier trailers so this crane scale was the better way to go.Not having fixed weights laying around I weighed myself to test accuracy and it was spot on.

I purchased this because it was an Amazons Choice. Unpacked it and tested it on items less than 15 lbs and seemed to work fine. This past weekend I harvested a large whitetail buck and was excited to weigh him. Apparently 180 lb only registers 16.9 lbs on this scale. I read the owner's manual, it tells me to recalibrate the scale with no directions on how to do so. I googled it and there is no way to do so. I am returning it. I am pretty disappointed.

Let me first start off by saying that if you are trying to decide between the plastic or metal casing for this scale, go with the metal! The durability of this device is amazing! Every part is made of metal, even the battery compartment (being in the military I need devices that can take a beating). The shackle and hanging hook are very thick and do not seem like that would bend even under weight that is more than what this is rated to weigh. The interface is pretty simple to use and allows for the read out of three different weight formats. The reason why I did not give this 5 stars is because the battery compartment could have been designed to better fit that batteries. Either I missed the instructions or the compartment was sized wrong but I did not see what the proper battery size was supposed to be. I am currently using two AA rechargeable batteries and have not had any problems yet!

It's construction is iffy even though it's made of aluminum. The manual states triple AAA batteries however double AA batteries is what ended up fitting. The triple AAA batteries just fell out and wouldn't hold. The accuracy of the scale is spot on. I placed a 5 lbs weight and it read 5 lbs. It's very easy to use and seems it could last however only time will tell. For the price I guess it's a good deal. It is made in China so fingers crossed.

Pesé varios artículos en un peso normal y luego los pesaba en la balanza digital para confirmar la medida y siempre la balanza daba un peso equivocado, tanto en libra como en kilos. Traté de calibrarlo como indicaba el manual y no permite hacerlo. Es un fiasco. Le escribí al vendedor para informarle que la pesa digital no funcionaba y nunca recibí una respuesta de su parte, por lo que perdí mi dinero en algo que no funciona. No lo recomiendo.

I bought this during the pandemic mainly to test out the force for different exercises when using bodyweight and/or resistance band exercises (since many of the resistance bands, especially tube bands will say a resistance/weight level that is beyond what these typically provide). It works just as advertised, takes a quick minute to assemble, then press of a button and you got it! Not unsurprising given the total weight limit, but it's not the most accurate at smaller weights (less than 6ish pounds). But not necessary when it can provide a quick reading of significantly heavy weights.

It can measure accurately but the reason I bought mine is for archery. So if you are looking for a weighing scale that measure peak weight and let-off, this is not it.

No more listeninig to my buddies brag about their 250 pound deer that look suspiciously like 175 pound deer. Now it's "Hang it up or shut it up". Awesome.

One thing I didn't like, it clearly says in the instructions that it came with 2 Rechargeable AA batteries. No it doesn't. It came without any batteries at all. Relatively minor, but still....On 1st impressions, it seems solid, turned on and worked after I installed batteries.

My business is renovating kitchens and bathrooms and this device works perfectly. Usually I'll need to proportion a specific amount of weight per bag of old drywall to take to the dumpster to be accepted. Just hang the scale anywhere and do your stuff. I even used it to weigh pots and pans to determine load capacity for kitchen drawer tracks but will likely get a sit on counter scale later. Well built for the price.

So far I’m happy with this scale. It’s easy to use and easy to see the numbers and backlit to see at night! My only complaint and very small thing. I’ve noticed if I weigh the same thing a couple times it sometimes has a different reading/weight. So one time it could be 12.0 pounds then try again and it’s 12.2.All in all it works and helps me figure out what I’m buying in scrap metal or what I’m taking to scrap yards.

Bought it in January to weigh lambs and when I took it out of the box to use for the second time it this April it was all out of sorts, telling me a 60lb lamb weighed only 30lbs. Was hoping this would have lasted more than one use. It was stored in the box in the house so not sure why the second time it was all messed up. It’s first use worked great however.
