Fox 40 on a glove
It's loud. My players have no issues hearing it. I haven't had any issues with the pea freezing up. The velcro stays attached and the whistle doesn't move on my glove. It doesn't even rotate. I used it well over 100 times on the ice last season and the metal whistle came out of the little elastic holder once. I believe it got caught on someone's jersey when we were doing a battle drill. No big deal, and it hasn't happened since.

The best whistle
Coach of over 20 years. This is by far the best whistle, ever. I used to think all whistles were the same, just get one for a buck, that's all you need. Then I tried the Fox 40. Complete game changer.

spectacular whistle. i know it’s widely popular in my pool of lifeguard coworkers. it’s really loud when you need it to be, and the rubber barrier is extremely helpful especially to anyone who chews on their whistles. any reviewer saying the whistle is “defective” is confused. there is a specific technic when blowing the whistle to actually make it whistle properly. you have to stick your tongue in the open area of the whistle and quickly remove it as you blow, which will create a loud whistle. it’s all about the technique, there is no ball in the whistle, and that’s because it isn’t necessary.

This whistle is super light weight and the perfect size. The durability of the whistle is really good, however under the soft plastic tooth guard had gotten really nasty underneath. The performance of the whistle is great and can be heard from far away.

I coach middle school boys and girls soccer. If you have ever had a young teenage kid, you know they can get...distracted on the field. The intensity of this whistle does seem to attract attention. I had my first one for about 4 years and it felt more substantial. This one has a cut out in the bottom and is a lot lighter. You'll need a heavy lanyard to make sure it doesn't float away. Still...it's the best I have found.
