Beautiful book! 😍
This book is absolutely beautiful, me and my whole family love everything about it. I even found myself a little emotional reading it, especially the last few pages. It's such a wonderful and heartwarming book, with brilliant illustrations and ideas on how to deal with all those big feelings we all have. This would make an amazing gift to anyone, it's the sort of book I wish someone had gifted me as a child. 🥰

An absolute delight 🌈🦥❤️
It's not very often we buy children's books without knowing the story, having seen glimpses of the characters or the didactic, or having watched someone read it aloud on YouTube or Instagram, but after buying Emily's other books and being a long time Emily Coxhead fan and follower, I knew this book would be perfect...and it's exactly that. The storyline is beautifully written, the bright and attractive colour scheme and the visual representation is above and beyond (we knew this was always going to be the case as we're long time subscribers to The Happy Newspaper) and it's the perfect size for an adult to sit and hold and for children to see everything that's going on, as well as being big enough for little ones to hold comfortably themselves independently. Everything about this book is perfect and I love that there are little bees and ladybirds throughout the book and that in itself provides instant engagement in getting the little ones to see if they can spot them! It's also a really practical but understandable book, in so much that it's able to connect with little ones about big feelings that can often feel too overwhelming or difficult to understand. Emily provides practical solutions to 'finding your happy' through Sloth and his friends, and this varies from taking deep breaths and being mindful to thinking of all the good things in your life and remembering that you're loved. We plan to use our copy alongside wooden Lanka Kade figures of the animals in the book to make story time more engaging (matching the animals and recognising that Sloth feels angry or sad or left out, and what he might say in those times, or when those times might happen.) The book is an absolute hit and I have no doubt that this will be a bestseller for a long time. Well done Emily, your talents are never ending and I hope this is the first of many more children's books to come. ❤️

The happiest book you will read (by Blayke, age 7)
I bought this book for my 7 year old son, I knew he would enjoy it & that it would also inspire him as he wants to be a book illustrator when he grows up. I'm a creative myself & Co-founder of online design school Make it Design & I adored this book & will be recommending it to my community. I'm a big fan of Emily's work & The Happy Newspaper, this is another fab project by the super talented Emily Coxhead & she thoroughly deserves all the success! My son Blayke also wanted to share his thoughts on a review & he says "The book was amazing, it gave me inspiration to do more art & it made me have emotions & feel good."Thanks Emily, keep creating magic!Love Rachael & Blayke xx

Absolutely beautiful book. I follow Emily on Instagram and have been a subscriber to The Happy Newspaper for quite some time. This was a real pleasure to buy and read with my 6 year old. I’d recommend it to anyone with small kids.

Gorgeous book, perfect for emotional literacy
This is a gorgeous book - both in terms of the illustrations and the writing. It's the perfect stimulus for PSHE learning especially in primary schools and developing emotional literacy in children. It's also a large book making it easier to share with groups. The book doesn't dismiss "negative" emotions or force an emphasis on looking for the good. Rather it encourages a healthy understanding of a whole spectrum of emotions and how we might process those. It might need further input from a teacher/parent/carer to emphasise that we can sit with "negative" feelings and don't have to overcome them as such, as there's only so much you can say in a short story!Regardless, it's a wonderful book with a great message and is beautifully illustrated in Emily's trademark style - with bright colours, fun (expertly-drawn) doodles and an overall highly engaging aesthetic.

My 2.5 year old loves it
I bought this book for my daughter as I follow Emily Coxhead on Instagram and love her illustrations and the happy news.I wasn't disappointed. The book is a great way of explaining emotions to younger children and they can act out what to do to get over them. Watching my daughter close her eyes and take deep breaths and counting to 10 is the cutest but also so important for giving her easy coping mechanisms as she grows.Love this book and would definitely recommend for all children to help label their emotions and learn how to deal with them.
