Large heavy beautiful knife. Main complaint is the flipping detent is SUPER strong. Very hard on the finger, lol. I've read reviews saying what a great action these have, but not mine. I'm hoping it will work in a bit. ( yes I tried lube and no, I'm not pressing in on the lock bar when trying to open). More of a collection piece than a user.

Big Knife
This knife has been w/me every day for about a month or so. It's a little bit expensive (for me, anyway) and it's a bit large for an EDC - but seems to function nicely in the role and it feels like I received the value paid for. Also, when it arrived I could barely flip it open it was so stiff but a little carbon powder loosened it SOME. That all said, it's sturdy, precisely built, well-assembled and arrived sharper than a razor blade - seriously. It was purchased to be used. I cut pallet straps, wrapping material, hoses, lines, trim several types of industrial materials and open boxes occasionally at work so a box knife just isn't enough. This critter is surprisingly agile and handles like a smaller knife - but it isn't a small knife. I think the agility is due to the balance. The finger groove for your forefinger is placed right at the back of the blade where it meets the handle. When gripped this way, it's slightly heavier to the back or handle. The blade feels light and nimble while being broad and heavy so cutting is quick, precise and effortless.I'm no knife guy who knows about different blade steels and such. ...but I've only had to slap it against a ceramic rod a few licks to keep it shaving-sharp at all times. ...so, in my book, that's a good blade-steel.One other thing...I'm left handed, so I find many other knives aren't easily handled in my backassward world. Tip up, It carries well in the left leg-pocket on my Carhartts - the one where a carpenter would place a hammer handle. The lock-release and folding process is smoothly and easily executed by either hand.
