Low quality control. Luckily my guitars didnโt get destroyed.
If you value your instruments donโt buy this one. Iโm not sure how it ended up as the editors pick because itโs a piece of junk. I ordered the 3 guitar stand. It arrived fine and it appeared of decent quality when I unboxed it. Upon assembly I found the grooves in the adjustable pole where not in the right place making it very very unsteady. I managed to make it work as it was but assumed quality control must be lacking at the factory. Anyway fast forward 10 days and it seemed to be fine otherwise. The rubber straps to hold the necks in are nice and holding up fine. All in all itโs doung what itโs supposed to. So tonight after playing I set my guitar in and it collapses. Thankfully I was holding it when this happened and everything didnโt dump over. After managing to get my guitars out without dropping them I inspected the stand and found the nut thatโs attached to the pole for the height adjustment had broken off allowing the bolt to fall right out. This would have rendered the stand completely useless but being a handyman I drilled a hole into the adjustable pole and put a screw into it to hold it together. Do yourself a favor and buy a nicer stand.

Bad Design Where The Vertical Pieces Meet
Gator usually makes good products and so I was confident when I purchased this stand that it would be a sturdy, well made item.Unfortunately, a cheap, plastic ring is used to help secure the upper shaft of the stand into the base of the stand. A flanged nut sits in it and the logic is that the plastic ring holds the nut in place while the supplied bolt threads through the flanged nut - pressing against the upper part of the stand, holding it in place. On the unit I received, that plastic ring was broken and so whenever any clamping force is applied by the bolt to the nut, the nut pulls through the pre-drilled hole - causing the upper shaft (which has the guitar neck hanging stands affixed to it), crashing to the ground. Not good if you have guitars on it...A recommendation to the manufacturer - spend the extra dollar and have a dedicated nut welded to the bottom shaft housing so that the bolt can simply be screwed in.Disappointed.

Quality stand at a decent price
I just got this stand in and set it up with my guitar. The build quality is quite good and the item does not feel cheap in any way. There are some nice touches, like the rubberized handle for tightening the height adjustment of the neck holder and swiveling rubber strap to close off the neck. The black finish on all of the metal parts is a very nice smooth matte finish. There is foam covering the parts where your guitar will make contact: on the swiveling base holder on below and on the neck holder. The one place that could use a bit more foam is the "leg" on the body fork. When you put your guitar in to the stand, it is easy to swing the body too far and then make contact with the uncovered portion and overtime that may create some nicks or scratches in the body of your guitar. The legs fold up for a more compact shape for transport or storage, But once I put in the swiveling fork that holds the body of the guitar, It seem to lock itself in and I didn't want to break it by pulling too hard on it. I'm not sure if this is intended to be removable or not, but it does make it harder to store since it's not easily removable. The three legs of the stand have Nice rubber feet on them that plug up the ends of the tubes and help it grip the floor better. All of the tubes have nice rounded plugs on the ends so there are no exposed ends. The attached tag includes a link to the company's contact information along with their three-year warranty info. One tip: I rolled up my card and stuck it inside the bottom of the base tube (see picture), where it is invisible but can stay with the stand and not get lost in case anything ever happens to the stand and I need parts or repair.

Mine came with 2 defects that made it almost impossible to use
There were no instructions, but I'm a technician so I didn't really need one. It seems mine was a repack and the upbar notches are in the wrong position relative to each other. The "nut" (if you'd call it a nut) was snapped out where the two up tubes nest.I futst around with mine to where I can use it, but I'm not at all happy, for something this expensive I expect much more quality. If it breaks my guitars what good is it? I'm going to put my cheapest guitars on it I guess. I'm pretty ticked off and I'm not hard to please to be honest.Really, for this much money they can't do any better? Why are they even selling these knowing how bad they are?the nuts aren't even real nuts and will pull right through the tubes. The notch in the tube doesn't line up correctly between the top and bottom, it should be offset and isn't and the thing could collapse on you.The material is a bit flimsy too. Some of you are complaining that the guitar base rests are floppy, well, you need to know that that is how they are SUPPOSED TO BE, that, itself, is NOT a defect. There are guitars that are not shaped in the normal hourglass shape, that is why most stands flop at the guitar base, it's by design.I realize that virtual slave laborers make all our nice things, but perhaps if they were treated better in their work and QC were allowed to do what it needs to, this sort of review wouldn't happen! The nut on the bottom had come free and I had to fuss with it to get the thing screwed together.

Does the job well
I wanted to be able to fix this to a cab rather than a desk so allow me to avoid taking out a full guitar stand.Fortunately the guitar cab has enough wood for me to able to make a good fixing. Although I suspect this wasn't orginally in mind for the product it has enough flexibility in the design to allow for this, so am happy.

I love this stand!
Very easy to assemble! (Make sure the head holder matches up with the placement of the bottom holder when inserting the holder)It makes my guitars easily accessible and looks great! If you have multiple guitars, i recommend this stand๐๐

Needed to do a bit of work myself to get this stand to work proper.
I'm a advance musician that owns quite a bit of different stands. I had ordered and received three new guitars so decided to order this stand and try this brand out. The stand seems sturdy, good foam protection on the stand for the rest area that the guitar will be resting on.However a few things I noticed. The bottom is slanted a lot more vertical then other stands which makes the guitar rest with a bit more unease at the bottom and slides it into a weird angle. The top neck mount was not finished proper and could not be tightened so I had to finish drilling out the hole for it to tighten so the head would not spin and slide the guitar off the mount. Easy fixes if you have the right tools but still going to deduct a couple stars for each of these issues.

Strongly recommended!
For the price I paid, I expected some cheap and flimsy guitar stand, like the ones you get at Toys-R-Us, or Best Buy, next to the guitar video games. I was pleasantly surprised. It is nice and sturdy, and easy to assemble. It is also larger than I expected, and can accommodate large instruments.Arrived intact in a very large shipping box. The ad says "Usually ships within 1 to 2 months", so I wasn't expecting it to arrive for at least a month. I was very pleased to receive it less than 48 hours after I placed my order.I strongly recommend this product for people with multiple guitars.

not spaced right at the top
The stand is ok but when you have three guitars on it they will bump into each other. the will hit the sides of the guitar and they will hit on the top of the head stocks. the neck supports should be able to be adjusted to help with the guitars not hitting each other.ThanksCH
