Stop procrastinating on these, definitely get them!
First off like all wireless products, no you will never get 1/2 mile range if you have obstacles between your receiver and sensor. HOWEVER at 861 feet, you can definitely achieve a working system! My furthest sensor at 861 feet runs through 3 groves of trees and an old single wide trailer. I checked the wireless path and can confirm this is what the signal is fighting. Super super impressive. That's with the receiver in the middle of our home. So add the walls to the path of signal.I seriously almost passed up buying these as I am a hugh electronics nut and know it's hard to get any wireless security device to do much over 200ft. Because I didn't want to believe these would work, it costs us a few encounters of trespassers and night after night wondering if they would come back. You cant see through trees, buildings or around curves.Thankfully I took the plunge and got 4 sensors and a receiver. I set these up along the path so I can tell which way someone is coming from, so sensor 2,3 are in the middle to give the warning they are headed towards the house.Let me tell you, the nights of worrying if we heard a car or a person have been relieved, knowing the sensors work and will alert me.There are pros and cons.Pros:-Long range through harsh conditions and landscapes-Receiver is loud enough to be heard in other room-Batteries last a long long time with the solar-Sensors are super sensitive at ranges even past the 30ft specs-Durable in Cold climates-Mounting screws included-Sensors swivelCons:-Not stealthy in all landscapes (no color schemes available)-No reviever sound customization besides volume-Sensor #1 and #2 both light up and can not be turned off. The fix is to use Sensors #3, #4 the company said. However if you want these to be hidden at night, you can't with the two.-The mount is square plastic in this model. With just 4 screw holes. Could have a better design for additional mounting locations.Like/Dislikes - Goes off to Deer, Cats, People, Vehicles on a cold night (if the car is warmed to normal operating temperature)In conclusion, Do not pass this up if you are going through a bad time with people in areas they should not be. Or if you want to have an alert for mail or deliveries. It will work far away, can't confirm 1/2 mile in no obstruction conditions, but atleast 861 feet. There is a metal instead of plastic system available. Wish I knew before I ordered. The options are not clear and are confusing.

Know when your package or mail arrives arrives. .
The reason I purchased, these sensors was to know when the mailman has delivered the mail or any packages come. For whatever reasons most drivers now just deliver the package never ringing the doorbell so the package will sit out there while I’m still in the house wondering when they’re gonna come now with the sensors I know when they arrive and I can retrieve them as soon as possible, the sensors were a little Cumbersome to adjust, but after trial and error, I was able to get them to work just the way I want them to. Nice invention.Although I do get some false alarms from time to time, it seems that on windy days you may experience moving tree shadows, birds andSquirrels make the sensors sound off, but still I like the way they work. These sensors seem to work best when the objects you are trying to sense break the beam horizontally instead of vertically. You can avoid many background false signals by setting up your sensors in this manner.Good luck.

Range is good but major flaw is a musical diddy instead of telling you what zone
This product would be pretty good except for one major flaw in that if you have 4 zones the alert is a short musical diddy and I honestly cant remember which diddy represents which zone. Not sure what the designers were thinking but it's a super big mistake. Each channel should verbally say Zone One, Zone Two or whatever zone has been triggered and then a short diddy. You will have to learn to recognize the musical diddy associated with each channel for this device or you won't know where your intruder or visitor is (if you have multiple sensors)

Work perfectly
Just what I needed. Would have loved to change the tones but each one is different so it's not a deal breaker. Have one connected to my mailbox next to the driveway which is roughly 900'. Let's me know when I have guests or any deliveries. Happy with my purchase
