Nice but not my favorite
I really like the espresso color of this pencil - it's a nice brown that is a little less harsh than a black eyeliner and works really well for daytime makeup imo. It's creamy and goes on very smoothly. The problem I had was smudging it for a more diffused, smoky look. Even though I didn't wait for it to set up, it was very patchy when I smudged it. I also had some trouble lining my lower lashes. The formula is so creamy that it gummed up my lashes and kind of "glued" them down to my lower lid. So I had to wipe it all off and start over. Maybe my lashes are just too close to my lid, though, because no matter how careful I was trying to draw the liner only on my skin, the eyeliner kept gettng in my lashes, clumping them together. By the time I'd done this two or three times, my eye started watering in the outside corner and the liner refused to stick to the damp skin.So the pros are the creamy, smooth application and it's mostly waterproof once it dries down. The cons are the gummy eyelashes, patchiness when smudged, and the inability to draw on slightly moist skin. Also the price - it is a bit high compared to other well-known brands that I've been more successful with. I'd probably like it more at half the price, but at this price I'm going to stick with my Makeup Forever Aqua Resist Eyeliner.

So creamy! Pigmented, opaque! Glides on!
This comes in a ziplock bag. Inside is a card with a little note from the founder of the brand, the liner, and the sharpener. The liner is in its own outer product box and the sharpener is in a little plastic ziplock bag.The card included said that the founder is a registered nurse so her mission was to develop high performance, long-lasting, and low-maintenance products that provide both cosmetic and therapeutic benefits. With every formula, they aim to combine the best ingredients from science and nature and the highest concentrations to achieve maximum efficacy, as well as nourish, rejuvenate, and “Extend Your Beauty.” Sounds nice. The product box for the liner says it is made in the US. The ingredients are listed. It has nothing about being cruelty free. The color is called “Xpresso.” It’s a rich brown. It GLIDES on. It is so creamy it’s like a pot gel liner but in pencil form. Because it’s so creamy, it’s really easy to smudge out. Also, because it’s so creamy it can transfer and smudge before it sets. You need to make sure it sets, which takes about 30 seconds. I have really hooded eyes, so I have to make sure not to open my eyes in that 30 seconds or else it can transfer 😂 Because I have really small, really hooded eyes, I like my liner to be tightlined right up against my lash line. I have practically no lid actually showing when my eyes are open and the tiny bit I do have, I don’t want overtaken with liner. That’s the only downside to this liner…the tip is kind of thick to get a really thin line. But, I just smudge it out and it works fine. It works amazing in the waterline too! When I use it on my lower lash line, I’ll often set it in place with a brown eyeshadow because I’m worried with how creamy it is, even after it sets it’ll transfer or smudge. I haven’t had it happen, but it comes off easily with oil cleanser, so I’m afraid if I don’t set it, it’ll come off with sweat or something. So, I just feel better setting it in place when it’s on the lower lash line. You do have to sharpen it before each use. If you’re going to smudge it out, you might not feel the need to do that. But, even smudging it out, I like to sharpen it so it’s as thin as possible to do my line. Luckily, this comes with a sharpener. It would be better if it was built in like some pencil liners have so that I don’t need to keep the sharpener on hand at all times. But, it’s not a huge deal.Overall, I really like this. It’s basically a pot gel liner in pencil form. The way it glides on and how opaque it is, it makes me feel like I’m using a liquid or pot gel liner. But it’s easier to use than those, for me at least, since it’s in pencil form. I do think it is pretty pricey, especially since it’s so creamy and needs sharpened so often, I feel like it’ll get worn down and need replaced pretty quickly with frequent use. Given that, I’m not sure I’ll purchase it when I run out. I do really like it, but I have others that I can get to work just as well, even with thinner lines like I like, without having to sharpen it every time. I just usually have to go over it back and forth a few times to get the color to appear as opaque as it is with this liner. So, my decision would just be based on the ease of not having to do that. But I’m not sure it’s worth the extra cost for that for me. I give it 5 stars.

A little goes a long way
This "pencil" style is actually a tad misleading IMO. The color is very soft and goes on similar to other gel or container styles that are like a smooth paste more than what I expected out of a pencil. I started to fill in and realized a lot went on and so I had to find a brush to rub it out. It took me a min to find my brush because I wasn't expecting to have to use it but once I found it I actually had to use a spoolie to blend it out because it does dry pretty fast. At that point it dried like other products I have that are waterproof but I didn't see that feature on this one. Later in the day, however, I could easily wipe some spots off when I was in different lighting & touched it up a tad. I'm not sure how it will shape being that soft but I will say a little goes a long way. I ended up just dabbing where I wanted and blended it in more than using this as a "pencil" style eyebrow liner. This would be great if you remove your eyebrows and draw them on because it is a smooth product, it just went on different than I expected in natural eyebrow hair as a pencil style.
