Didn't Work with Premium Play Sand and 6 Gallon Compressor
Had high hopes for using a sand blaster to remove old paint on a home. Read reviews on several different models and tried to find one with a long hose to use with a bucket of sand. Found the DP for $15 and other "Jewboer" wtih short hoses and "Le Lematec" gravity fed sandblasters. The DP has a good long hose, with no air nozzle like the shorter Jewboer for the blast media. Had to use my own air hose adapter with plumbing tape to connect to the 6 gallon air compressor. The DP did not work. It would sputter some sand then just shoot air. Blast media is quite expensive, and unless you are in a blast cage that recycles the media, paying $1+ per pound isn't cost worthy. Tried Premium Play Sand from the hardware store for $5 for 50 pounds. Window screen was too fine mesh to sift the sand, so used it as is. These are supposed to be "sand blasters" but don't work with sand! They clog. The DP was not able to remove any paint. Also tried the Le Lematec for $50 and it clogged easily and would only work for a few seconds. Shaking it while using it did give some removal of paint spots on the ground but it made such a mess with sand all over the place and basically did not work with play sand. Unfortunately, sand blasting old paint off a home isn't practical with these type of sand blasters with a 6 gallon air compressor and play sand. After this disappointment I did spend an hour looking online for sifters but did not find one, and realized it would take a lot of time to sift the sand. Why the hardware store doesn't sell sifted play sand is hard to realize. "Premium" should be sifted. It was okay sand, but not fine enough for these types of sand blasters. Maybe one of the other sand blasters would work with this play sand. Also, a 10 gallon compressor may be better. Expect sand to be all over the place if not using it in a box. And get a face shield. The picture shows brown spots from the gravity fed sand blaster, and the paint was removed by paint stripper gel non-toxic used previously. Had hoped sand blasting would work. Nope. It didn't work.

work well
Seems to work well so far! Had just sent another back because the hose was too big and had no suction. The hose on this is a good size and it's long though (but that can be cut down).

Good value
Great value for this gun. Identical to Campbell Hausfeld but 1/2 the price
