Good Entry Level Commuter Scooter
If you are looking for a scooter for commuting, the SmooSat MAX electric scooter is worth looking at. It’s equipped with a 500-watt motor, which is above average for a scooter of this type and the scooter can get up to 18 mph and has an 25-30-mile range (if you use it on the lowest power setting). The battery is lithium and takes about five hours to charge from empty. That’s not exceptionally fast, but it’s fairly regular for this range of escooters. You can see the battery level on the control panel. Instead of showing actual percentages, it uses little round lights. When all the power lights are on, it means the battery level is at 100-86%. Once the battery starts to go down, lights remain lit, while one flashes. A flashing bottom power light indicates low power. The particular thing that I have found with this scooter is that once the power bars reach level 2 you need to immediately shut it off and charge it. I have yet to see it reach one bar, it just shuts down completely! Be mindful of that, it has happened to me twice. The best thing to do if you are trying to ride the full 20-30 mile range is to ride in speed mode 1 or 2. This is a common tactic to use with all escooters. The SmooSat MAX has a great design, which is sleek and modern. It’s made from aerospace-grade aluminum, which allows the scooter to stay lightweight at about 43 or 44 pounds. It can hold up to 265 pounds. The 10-inch solid tires are made with a hard, rugged rubber and the front wheel shock absorption helps keep your ride as smooth as possible. This is a feature that you will not find on many escooters at this price range. The scooter folds up quickly and can be easily carried and it will fit in your trunk so you will always have transportation no matter what. This scooter also has a dedicated smartphone app that connects to the unit via Bluetooth. Connection is simple and instant once the initial connection is performed. The app provides info like battery power, your speed, and how far you’ve traveled. You can also tinker with a few settings of the scooter also. This is especially useful because the scooter has the typical one button operation system that many in this class have. I recommend a bike phone holder on the scooter to have quick access to the app. In closing The SmooSat MAX is a great entry-level electric scooter with a solid build, solid performance, and reasonable price now. The scooter does not have a lot of bells and whistles that many other do like ReGen Braking and LED lights but it does the job and gets you from A to Z with no problems.

Expected more.
Purchased two weeks ago and already needed a replacement because the scooter no longer worked because of a battery issue. completely died while riding and no longer charged. As far as how it Rides, it’s somewhat shaky & you’ll feel any hitch in the ground while riding. The scooter is also moderately heavy.

Impressed
Very happy with this.. in fact I even ordered the E9 Pro for my granddaughter after riding mine. Originally purchased it to get back and forth to work and it does that and more. So now granddaughter rides by us while we jog along paved state park trails. Descent hills and both scooters can hold well. Solid built, I’m right at 210 and it still goes 18 no prob. Stay on smooth paved roads best as possible. Watch for potholes rocks and that common sense stuff. I start and stop a lot battery goes faster? Still, the money I’m saving on gas this will pay for itself in no time.

Sturdy and fun to ride.
Great scooter. Runs well to its advertised 18mph. I doubt I can make 30 miles on a single charge considering my weight. 240lbs. Bluetooth is excellent, helps one keep tabs on distance and diagnostics.Excellent customer service. Very generous. Like most EV whether scooter, bike, car or any motor using batteries, technology still needs improvements. I love my Max scooter. Ride it as often I can. Thank yoy customer service. You are the best.

Love it
It gets me around with no problem. It does not handle hills well as my weight 220 slows it down. Not a concern, it goes about 17 mph and thats flying, have a helmet just in case, I really suggestusing one. Handle well turning, braking is good and easy to carry and take with you in suv or truck.

Horrible battery life.
This scooter would not Travel more than 3 miles on a full charge. The scooter also dies almost instantly when it goes down to 2 bars of battery which should be 50%. This gives you no time at all to prepare or to head back to where you started scooting. The throttle also gets stuck when you push it in so you physically have to pull it back toward you to stop it from moving. In addition the scooters throttle is extremely delayed. Overall this scooter is a piece of junk. I bought it thinking it would be a better version of the Hiboy S2 pro and was sadly mistaken. For about 100$ less and about a 20x better scooter go with the Hiboy!
