The story is good the writer is nobel prize winner so,I am no one to criticize him. Now, the story mostly tells the struggle of Goutam Buddha, Budhha lovers will love the book,It teaches us many valuable things about how to treat other people and also Buddha's vision of life and surroundings.Novel lovers will like this book but it is not written in simple English There are metaphorical use of English which might be difficult for beginners to grasp easilyI got the book for 49/-Niice packaging by Amazon

The book is very well written, each and everything is well described. The book mostly shows the struggle of Gautam buddha and how he faces problems and obstacles in his path of becoming GOTAMA. There are a lot of things you will be learning from this book. But if you just started reading novels, then it might not be for you. The metaphorical use of English might be difficult for beginners to understand. For others, i will recommend this book, specially to buddha followers. Price of book is also ok, i got it in 49, including delivery charge.

The essense I grasped from this venerated book is,Every one is siddartha, aiming to become gauthama. Gauthama is like heart. If we do not follow our heart in our pursuit of becoming gauthama, we end up like every one normal, nomatter howmuch we sacrifice in our life
