Not a job for the faint of heart! A little corrosion goes a long ways...
Great quality bushings. These were a front sway bar replacement on a 2007 Tahoe 2WD LT. Word of warning, if you're doing this job, you better be prepped for some troubles. I've worked some tough car jobs, but some ninny at GM decided a 10mm bolt head was good for this mounting bracket, without ever thinking through what a couple hundred thousand miles of corrosion is going to require in the form of rotational torque to get that bolt out when it is fully corroded (and I live in corrosion free Phoenix, AZ). It was just 1 bolt out of 4, but that about did me in. I hit that bolt with everything under the sun, 3 or 4 different penetrators, vibration, torch, you name it. At the end of the fight, I ended up with a rounded off bolt head, put an extractor on it, and then snapped the bolt and had to work it out going back and forth with vice grips for a looooong time. If you don't have that tool inventory, and don't want to spend 6 hours on your back in the driveway, then PAY SOMEBODY ELSE TO DO THIS JOB!!!! It is worth it.
