New! Grips Compatible with Ruger Security Six/Police Service Six Square Butt, Checkering Hardwood, Handmade

I generally like rubber grips on my .357's to reduce the recoil, but I just got tired of how tacky they looked on my Ruger stainless Service Six. These grips fit perfectly and the mid-panel checkering provides a nice semi-abrasive surface which should aid in controllability at the range. They look much classier than the rubber ones and take one back to the days of the classic big bore revolvers, when they all came with over-sized wooden target grips. The delivery time was fantastic- I literally ordered them Saturday night and had them in the mailbox on Monday afternoon. By way of comparison, the same grips are featured on ebay and the seller cautions that the delivery time could take up to six weeks! I would definitely recommend these grips to anyone looking to upgrade their old Ruger wheelguns.

Only the very smallest discrepancies to a perfect fit. Have plans to take a dremel to it for a custom bird finger grip and more rounded butt shape; and smooth over that very minor almost undetectable exterior fit discrepancy. Plenty of wood to work with at base of butt, and in the area of bird finger grip. Great wood grain. A bit of brown Shinola and brisk buffing - gorgeous looking SS Security Six, 2 5/8 bbl, 357.Editited: Skipped the Dremel, used instead P220 for the greater shaping and 600 Ultra Fine for final prep. Reshaped butt generally for a more smooth rounding shape. A bit of back strap and finger grove fitment between halves. Applied Shinola and buffed it up to a beautiful grip, grain really pops out. It werent that much work and it is well worth it. Recommended. Hidden review? Sensitivity Issue? What's that about? Because it used the words "butt"? Thats the term for that portion of a gun, you nit-wit review nazis.

It doesn't fit on the gun

Grips went on alright but the finger grooves are off quiet a bit, gaps on the back strap. The two halves dont even look like they should be together different grain and staining entirely but I guess I shouldnt expect much from a set of grips on amazon

For the price the grips are really good. Nice fit and finish. Quality was beter than I expected.

Fit like a glove and looks better than the rubber grip.

I really wanted to like these grips. They look much better than the factory grips and felt much better in my hand as well. Unfortunately, there is no way to get them to fit. Even with sanding and extra drilling, exactly as others have stated. Look elsewhere.

Very nice grips....but I did not know they would require fitting. While I did the fitting...I also added the holes for the Hammer Spring pin storage...something every Ruger Pistol has.
