DROPMiTo GMK Laser Custom Mechanical Keyboard Spacebar Set - 9-Keys, Cherry Profile (Spacebars)

The keycaps looked much better in the pictures than in person. I've never owned GMK keycaps but when I saw these in person, my first thought was that they didn't feel nor look as amazing as I thought they'd be. I think paying 200 CAD for these is a bit much. The colourway is still really cool, despite it looking a little different than in the pictures.

The Keycaps themselves are great. Real GMK quality, sound profile and feel.The issue is with Amazon. As you can tell by the photo there is shine and grease marks on these keycaps. They were sold as new but they are obviously used. I wont speculate on how they were used. But it is obvious that some are pristine and some are shiny. This will make me rethink about buying GMK on Amazon. I wanted to check to make sure I wasn't crazy but there was also some keys that were also missing from the packaging.

So I’ve had GMK sets before, the Mito Pulse, and Samurai. These sets on Amazon, not sure if that’s the problem or not but both that I received look like they are either refurbs or pretty bad QI on GMK’s part. They looked like they had oil brushed on the sides and front of the keys, also some of the keys had major shine on top of them as well, particularly I, G,H, and : “. See pics attached. These keys are way too expensive to have these defects and inconsistencies, not like GMK at all, at least in the past when I’ve purchased directly from Drop.

I became obsessed with keyboards during COVID and got my first mechanical keyboard this summer. I knew I wanted GMK keycaps, but couldn't justify their high price. Not to worry, I can get them used!Cue ominous music...My first attempt had the keycaps in a bunch of Ziplock bags. It seemed sketchy, but I looked online and they were legit. I started swapping out the keycaps and fell in love with their sound. However, there was something missing.Specifically the "n" key. Now naysayers can nitpick and impugn certain runes (see what I did there) but I figure I deserved a whole keyboard. So I sent it back and asked for a replacement.Today the replacement came, and it's missing the quotation keycap. I love the color of the set, I love the sound it makes. The frustration that amazon can't just send me one key is real. So ask yourself if you feel lucky... that someone who apparently hates what you love enough to return it would have the decency to ship all the keys. Because I am 0 for 2.
