Blantex Heavy Duty 30" Wide Institutional Bunk Bed with 4" Foam Mats

I searched for 2 sturdy bunk beds that would fit in a small (10’ x 7.6’) bedroom at our cottage. These are perfect! They were relatively easy to assemble and will last forever. Amazingly, while a standard twin/bunk bed is 38” wide, these are only 30” wide which makes them half the size of a queen mattress and more than adequate. They not only work for our grandkids, but since they hold 375# each, they work for all adults. So many bunk beds are cheaply constructed but these are institutional quality. My grandkids (age 15 to 4 years) loved them. It comes with removable guard rails for the top bunk but you have to buy the ladders separately.

These beds are the best. I bought 3 sets of them for my six grandchildren to sleep on when they visit. They are very sturdy and solidly built. I would definetly buy again. They took my husband and I about 2 hours to put all of them together. They are the perfect size because they are 30" wide versus a twin which is about 42 inches wide. Twin bunk beds would have filled my room and left no room between the beds. I have the 3 sets lining the walls of my room and they fit perfectly with plenty of room to walk between them. They are also not as tall as regular bunk beds and I like that. I can see at eye level the top bunk and I am about 5' 6" tall.

Solid beds. Expensive for bunk beds but quality buy. Easy for one person to assemble although box weighs 150 lbs so inside delivery (2 people move) or unwrap to move pieces inside. Directions in the box were for a completely different bed but simple to assemble. It came on big truck which couldn’t make it all the way into my neighborhood. If this was split into multiple boxes delivery could be standard. Was initially concerned about the foam mattresses but very comfortable and 1 week sleeping soundly. Excellent spring supports. Ordered cot/camp size sheets and they fit fabulous.

The beds are very strong and seem to fit togather fine, but the top safety rail was missing some kind of spacers need to bolt it securely (or the special fasteners were too long.) We email the company asking for some help and got no response. I made a couple of spacers out of scrap wood and they seem to work fine, but it would be nice to have the real thing. Otherwise it is very nice and will work fine in our cabin

This bunk bed is very sturdy and easy to assemble. The included mattresses are very comfortable and the kids love it! As stated in another review, the top bunk isn't too high and it's been perfect for my 5 and 6 year olds. A few years ago I spent about twice the amount of money for a wooden bunk bed that fell apart. This one seems to be built to last a long time.

The top bunk rail guard does not securely attach to the frame. It is highly dangerous, this is a flaw that should be corrected.

Just what we needed!

I've spent a lot of time in Prison and I can tell you that these bunk beds are the best. They make me feel right at home now that I have my own apartment. Lots of space on the underside of the top bunk to tape pictures too. Lots of places to hang my laundry. Plenty of room underneath to store my guitar, legal papers, and shoes. The top rail is sturdy enough to tie off my clothes line. There are plenty of small nooks and crannies to store small items. Well built and strong enough to handle lots use and abuse (if you know what I mean). Great item.
