Original Broadway Cast Recording. Falsettos revolves around the life of a charming, intelligent, neurotic gay man named Marvin, his wife, lover, about-to-be-Bar-Mitzvahed son, their psychiatrist, and the lesbians next door. It's a hilarious and achingly poignant look at the infinite possibilities that make up a modern family... and a beautiful reminder that love can tell a million stories.

What More Can I Say?
What More Can I Say? This redone version of Falsettos, in my opinion, is more filled with life than the original. All of the characters play an important role in the heartbreaking and dramatic story of a family corrupted by the father of a child, who divorced his wife to be together with one of his old 'friends'. The story takes sudden turns, but doesn't leave you hanging. Even after listening to this musical, I always find something new in the songs that I hadn't noticed before. This masterpiece by William Finn is one of the best musicals out there. Tickets for seeing this broadway in 2019 leave me excited for the experience!

The best. Ever.
The absolute best musical I've ever listened to. I first came across Falsettos about a year ago. I only knew it as the musical with Andrew Rannells (who I was obsessed with at the time due to Book of Mormon), but what started as something I had never heard of grew into a life-changing obsession. I listen to this musical every single day and still find myself loving it more and more. Everything is perfect; the cast, the music, the plot, absolutely everything. I highly recommend this to absolutely anyone. By far the best thing I've listened to in my life.

this is a great little musical. I highly recommend picking it up
this is a combination of March of the falsetto's and falsetto land in one production. This is a very funny musical very witty and very charming. It has a gay theme to it and is placed back in the 70s and 80s. It's in fact also very touching, which is rare among musicals to have that triple threat intelligent, funny and touching. You probably have never heard of it, but it's really worth giving a try. It's in fact one of my favorite musicals and I highly recommend it.

Likely the Best Recording We'll Get In Our Lifetime
This is probably the best cast recording we will ever get of this show because it's so incredibly nuanced and comprehensive. I only took off one star though because the manic, neurotic energy really comes alive better on stage and can occasionally hard to listen to. You will see what I mean when PBS shows the taping of this on Live From Lincoln Center in a year or so.

Fantastic cast. Great to have both shows in one
Fantastic cast. Great to have both shows in one. Andrew Rannalls is fantastic as Whizzer. Christian Borle impressed me. I had no idea he could sing that well. Anthony Rosenthal as Jason plays a huge part and does it extremely well. The rest of the cast is amazing as well. I am anxious to be able to see it - it was filmed for release. Great job everyone!

So Catchy! Maybe ... Too Catchy ...
So catchy! I love musicals that let you follow the entire story through the songs, and the entire cast is so talented. Only downside is that This Had Better Come To A Stop has been stuck in my head for the last 72 hours? Even when I'm asleep? It's a problem.

Fresh, Funny, and Poignant as Ever!
Absolutely wonderful recording of a brilliant show. The original Broadway production sadly never issued a cast album, so this is the closest we'll likely ever get. The performances are uniformly excellent and the material is first rate. We're incredibly lucky that this got recorded! I understand that it was also filmed for broadcast next year!

I would love to see the Broadway show
I would love to see the Broadway show. A sing-through musical that touches a variety of topics -- being Jewish, being gay, baseball, falling in love. Good voice and well sung. Thoughtful and thought-provoking.
