This throw and keep in mind it is a throw not a blanket it would fit over a single or twin bed and be adequate. The reason I say so far so good is I have had electric blankets before mostly Sunbeam ones and after a short. Of time maybe a year or even less the controller will give you an error code. And at that point they seem to be useless. Although you can use the blanket if you want without the electric part. So I have found that electric blankets do not seem to last that long I don't know if it is built in that they screw up after a length of time. But yeah, they do seem to have egg issue with how long these electric throws and blankets last. But so far this one has been okay and it's been a couple of weeks. Maybe I'll review it again after a longer length of time. But as of now, it works good you can put it on the three or four setting and get plenty of heat 25 setting has good heat and it does have a 3-hour shut off as has been said. Not bad. Let's see how it goes. But it does live up to what it's been said to do so far. And for the price I guess that's not bad.

I followed the washing instructions on this piece to a T (removing the plug, etc.) and after I got done washing and hung dry it, it did not work anymore. Washing seemed to have killed it (and we have an HE washer that doesn't use much water). We tried a replacement plug and it still didn't work. Do NOT recommend this if you ever plan on washing it. We only had it about a month before it stopped working and now we are stuck with a blanket that is still soft, but has a bunch of wires in it and does not heat.

Blanket heats up pretty good. Needs to be thicker in my opinion so you don't feel the wires running throughout. The plug is located in an inconvenient place.

It seemed to get it first it's soft it got kind of warm but then it has the auto shutoff which older people don't like because they want to stay warm all the time and then it actually just stopped working and after just a few weeks so I don't really know overall how this would have done it's too bad it didn't last because I think it would have been exactly what the person wanted

Honestly the pictures looked a lot better than what actually arrived. It’s small, thin, you really can feel the wires, and overall just cheap looking. I bought a twin size throw at “wally world” for the same price and it was much better quality and huge. Kinda disappointed in this purchase.
