It's a whistle. It's easy to use; no learning curve at all. You blow into the narrow end and a loud, high-pitched sound comes out of the wider end. You can carry it in your hand or put it in your pocket. You could hang it around your neck.

Nachdem meine erste ACME Pfeife verloren gegangen ist, musste ich noch eine neue dazu kaufen. Dieses mal ohne Band, da ich die Pfeife nun an ein leuchtendes Schlüsselband gehangen habe, damit ich sie hoffentlich nicht nochmal verliere.Habe mit meiner Hündin auf Pfeife den Rückruf trainiert und da die ACME vom Ton genormt ist, funktioniert es mit der neuen Pfeife genauso gut.Man sollte jedoch darauf achten, das man sich für 210,5 ODER 211,5 entscheidet. Der Hund hört den Unterschied.

My German Shepherd puppy is different than most dogs, she has perfect hearing but loud noises have never bothered her... blenders, compressors, fireworks, vacuums, etc. and she just watches over you making sure you are safe.She has an "ADHD squirrel brain" personality and gets hyper focused on everything but commands when outside or around a group of people (excitable).This version of Acme whistle worked great breaking through distractions getting her attention the first hour or so with just a little tweet, after that, she quickly got "over it".Trained her by giving her favorite treats when she "heeled, sat, and looked at me" with a blow of the whistle... quickly learned while inside and alone with the puppy, introduced to the real world and other people she quickly ignores her training and commands.Can somewhat get her attention but you have to really whale it, and the neighborhood of dogs perk up and start speaking on the subject (hear several dogs start barking within half mile radius).I will try the adjustable whistle next to see if a specific tone works better... if not I will throw in the towel with sounds and just calm her brain down with a CBD type medicine.Made from about 3 cents worth of plastic... paying a tenner for it is a kick in the shin with steel toe boots... but it's greed that makes the world go round and helps the sun rise every morning ;)
