This was for a Motorola Edge Neo 30 phone which has USB-C 3.1, to provide internet access to a Windows 10 machine at suitable video streaming speeds. USB tethering was tested giving 10Mbps this adapter allows the phone (Android 11 and above) to do Ethernet tethering and that connection was 2.47 times faster i.e. in the above example you would get 24.7 Mbps which is a huge huge speed increase (over USB-C 3.1). It solved the connection problem. While tethering it is possible to charge the phone as the internet data is travelling to the PC but the charge rate from a smart charger was very slow and therefore perhaps not enough to maintain the charge in the phone. A dumber charger might do better. When no data is being used and the phone goes into standby the tethering was turned off by the phone. Not sure if it will do that while the adaptor is in use. This is a very high quality device that works well. Apple computers might not do USB tethering for hardware reasons, this adaptor solves that problem (tested on a Mac Pro 1,1). This device exceeded my expectations and is highly recommended.

I bought this as my Dell laptop has no ethernet port and my WiFi seems to be struggling with interferences from the neighbours.It works great with the Dell, and can still charge the laptop with the laptop usb c in too, so I'm not losing a socket! Speeds are faster than I've ever had on WiFi, and it's small enough to take away with me.Already a happy customer I had a idea with the USB c connection and tried it on my phone. It works there too! And my Android tablet! Even more unexpected it works with a steam deck, so I can charge and download updates super fast there as well 👍My one complaint is it hangs a bit weird if you want to hold the device as the power comes out of the side, but the net connection is super fast, and the charging speed seems unaffected, so if you're in a bit of a flakey spot you can download games or videos to watch with WiFi off if needed.Probably going to get another now I've found how multi purpose it is!

The adapter feels well made with a sturdy plastic case and braided pigtail to the USB socket.I purchased this to use with my Pico 4 VR headset in order to achieve a wired ethernet connection and so far it was worked flawlessly. Installation was as simple as just plugging it in (using USB and ethernet cables I already had). The adapter was immediately recognised by the Pico 4 and it automatically switched from WiFi to wired connection.The inclusion of a USB C socket on the side of the adapter allows you to connect a USB C charger, thus allowing you to also charge the connected device whilst using the network adapter - this also works flawlessly.Very happy with the adapter

Well, technically it passed the speed test at around 280mbps (not nearly a gigabit, but still), but it was almost completely useless when I connected it to my Pico 4 (well, to be honest, it was charging, at least). It definitely can't handle 150mbps VR streaming; I didn't bother testing any lower speeds, but desktop worked ok.It also completely refused to charge my phone (cycled indefinitely between on and off), but worked ok with only ethernet cable connected.

This was purchased to see if it would allow our Logitech Mevo cameras to be hardwired into the network rather than use WiFi. The Logitech POE adapter is ludicrously expensive, but does also provide power to the camera - unlike most low cost USB C to Cat5 converters this one has a USB C input that allows a PD power supply to power it and charge device at the same time. It works as advertised on a Surface Go2 and it also works just fine on a Mevo camera. The Mevo recognises it as an Ethernet port and __as long as you use a PD supply__ it also seems to charge them just fine. Including the cost of a decent PD supply, all the cables and two adapters it worked out at a third the cost of one official POE injector (which would still need a powered switch).

This does a great job of connecting my Pico 4 VR headset to the router, converting the ethernet cable to usb c. This adaptor also includes another usb c port, which means I can plug it into my Pico charger at the same time as I play, so the battery pretty much never runs down.If it's a more graphically demanding Steam game, then I suspect the battery may drain slightly quicker than the rate of charge, meaning it would eventually run down, but it has never happened to me yet, and still allows a significant increase in play time.All in all, the Pico headset, for me at least, seems to work equally well whether I run it wirelessly or via this adaptor, but if I'm sim racing I like to connect via this adaptor, as it gives me peace of mind that I have a consistent stable connection while racing.This adaptor does exactly what I need, and I recommend it as a solid method of connecting the Pico headset to your pc (via the router) for playing Steam games.

For the price, this is a very well built and is everything I needed for the iPad Pro located in a Wi-Fi deadzone in my home.My 2021 iPad Pro is running the latest stable release of iPadOS 15. The charging port works as expected and my iPad ALWAYS charges when it's connected but the Ethernet port is a different story. Whenever I plug this adapter into my iPad, it will NEVER recognise the ethernet and use it UNLESS I connect it to my iPad in a very specific way.The Ethernet port will NOT work if there's a charging cable in the charging port of the adapter when you connect it to your iPad. I must FIRST disconnect the charging cable from the charging port on the adapter before connecting it to my iPad in order for the Ethernet port to work. Once it's plugged in, I can then reconnect the charging cable into the adapter and charging + ethernet works fine.It's an odd quirk which I don't mind dealing with as the competition was a lot more expensive than this adapter. Ethernet speeds are gigabit as advertised. Overall I'm happy with the product and clearly I'm an outlier as I don't see anyone else experiencing this issue.

Da ich elektrosensibel bin, ist es eine riesige Erleichterung, nicht mehr mit WLAN oder 4G arbeiten zu müssen. Abgesehen davon ist die Datenübertragung mit Ethernet auch schneller und stabiler. Der Adapter ist seit gut einem Jahr in Benutzung, funktioniert einwandfrei. Hätte ich schon viel früher tun sollen. Ein guter Kauf!Nach dieser guten Erfahrung habe ich denselben Adapter auch für Apple Lightning angeschafft.
