Relaxing Tea
Blue Lotus Flowers have been used as an herbal remedy since ancient Egyptian times. Whether it will cure any ailments or not, I don't know. But it is a great, relaxing herbal tea to drink. Especially if you want to avoid caffeine. The flowers are quite fragrant, even when dried. The tea picks up the floral notes, and if you brew for longer time periods (5 minutes or more), it will pick up some tannic notes that add a bit of a bracing sensation. A search on the web indicates that blue lotus has hallucinogenic properties. I can say that for the quantity I brewed (2 g in a cup of water), did not experience any psychoactive effects. But I can recommend this floral tea for relaxation.

Whole petals, very fresh
This is mostly whole purple petals with just a bit of yellow/brown on the stem end. There is the very occasional dry dark brown half petal, but those are easy to see and pick out.The bag doesn't include instructions, but I brew a large pinch of petals and stamens in six ounces of water fresh off boil for five minutes. The result is is a pale yellow infusion with a classic "bitter alkaloid" taste and a slightly euphoric effect (a longer infusion or a decoction would probably be stronger).I wouldn't recommend drinking this for the taste (unless you like quinine), but it is definitely mood enhancing.

My new nighttime beverage
Sometimes after an evening of exciting TV programs, I have difficulty getting to sleep. Chamomile does the trick, but I'm not fond of the taste. Now I've discovered lotus flowers, and not only does it help me sleep, but it also has a pleasant taste and aroma. It's also one of the most beautiful teas to watch as it steeps. As a longtime student of Buddhism, I find the process meditative and filled with symbolism. Aside from the aesthetics, on a "practical" sense this is one of the best non-pharmaceutical sleep aids I've found.

didnt work for me..
After trying three different brewing times/quantity, I have given up - this is not a bed time tea for sure (at least for me) - disrupts sleep and ends up waking up very groggy. It does provide an interesting relaxing feeling in the first few minutes of the initial sips, but after that, it just doesn't sustain. Sourced from Thailand, the tea itself looks beautiful with its blue petals and stamen, light fragrance, and light amber color. Sticking with Pukka nighttime for me.

First Time
I have always gotten tea from the bags and never actually leaves or petals. I liked the smell even though it was very strong and it turned my water into a honey darkish color. I added some artificial sugar (ruins it, I know) but it tasted very soothing. I am not sure how I like it overall but I am glad I got to try it. I only wish it had instructions for beginner tea makers like myself for it only has the name or origin and that's pretty much it. Thank you!

It's nice, but I probably wouldn't get it again
MiralandBerry Egyptian Lotus Flower Tea is for an okay tea, I wish it was cut shorter to allow for it to fit in the tea strainer better, but I was able to make a cup out of about 2gms worth of petals. The flavor isn't strong, I could really barely tell the flavor beyond just hot water, but out of the bag it smells really nice. With a little bit of honey I was able to bring out some of the flavor of the tea, but honestly I probably wouldn't get it again.
