Excellent quality for small origami projects
Because this is a high quality origami paper made and cut in Japan, it is accurately cut and a high quality. It is easy to use and the colors are amazing for making small birds or kusudama projects. The patterns and colors are very traditional and make folding an immense pleasure.I have practiced origami for over 60 years and this is the best paper I have used for the projects named above.

Took a little but wow, what a great product!
So it's been a bit of a ride to get here but I'd like to start out by saying this seller and this paper are awesome.I initially ordered this paper and was really sad that it arrived damaged (it seemed to have been handled really roughly en route) especially because the paper is really gorgeously printed in person and the parts that weren't dinged up seemed like good quality. The seller was extremely prompt in their replacement of the product, was easy to deal with, and got me another pack right away and I am completely blown away. Their service was amazing and this product is honestly some of my favorite- I am a teacher and make little origami figures for my students and co-workers (I make about 300 small gifts a semester) so I go through a lot of paper and have seen wildly varying qualityThis paper is vivid, smooth, but robust enough to really stand the test of time. It's on the thicker side, but it gives the models really great structure and makes them handle wear and tear WAY better than most paper.Because of the size and thickness really complex designs (like dragons) are not really possible, but that doesn't matter in the least! It makes perfect rabbits, cranes, bows, dogs, and boxes. The designs are so cute, there are no repeats at all, and they always somehow look even better when the model is folded (the bunnies always have flowers for eyes and my students LOVE it!)I will definitely be ordering from them again, and am really grateful they were so quick and kind about replacing the damaged item.

Crisp paper, bright colors
I love this paper for kusudamu projects as well as many modular and other origami designs. I would not use it for those designs where sheerness is required (e.g., lotus) as the paper is thicker rather than thinner. It is crisp to work with and folds beautifully. It’s about the thickness of a Tant paper, but much more crisp so you get neater folds. The designs are great - small designs well proportioned for small paper, so really cute. As is typical, there will probably be a few designs that don’t appeal to each person. The price for 360 sheets of quality paper couldn’t be better. And they come in a nice little plastic box that helps keep them together.

Great, Except...
Lovely paper.I have been using this occasionally ever since I purchased it a while ago. So far, it has been a delight to work with. A wide variety of patterns; very satisfying to see after you've absentmindedly made 15 paper cranes. In terms of practicality, it's great. They are near perfect squares, which makes it very easy to use for origami. That is the one thing a manufacturer must get right when making origami paper, and this one hits the nail on the head.Additionally, the feel of the paper is very satisfying. It is about the thickness of printer paper, maybe a bit thicker. The paper is rather smooth, not too thick, and creases fairly easily. If you have a pen to press down the paper and really define that crease, even better. The only thing keeping it from being five stars is the packaging. It is a bit of a hassle to get a pattern from the bottom of the box, and it can get annoying if you are constantly reaching down there for a new pattern. I would change the packaging so that it opens from the side rarher than the top.Other than that, great product. Will be buying again.

Good folding paper with patterns that delight and appeal to everyone!
These are super pretty. I work with the public in a somewhat service oriented job and let me tell you something: nothing turns a screaming, crying, unruly child into an enchanted, appreciative one faster than folding them a crane in the pattern of their choosing right before their eyes. I have them pick out which pattern they want and all the options surprise and delight them. The kid's happy, the parents are happy, and my ears are happy. I've also folded these for friends and coworkers, and it's fascinating how people really do like a wide variety of the patterns. You'd think everyone has the same favorites. Instead, there is a very wide range of colors and appeals, and something for everyone. The exceptionally beautiful patterns have really wowed all the people who look through them. The paper isn't too thick or thin, and works great for folding cranes or other small origami figures.

Wonderful matte paper!
I should've bought two, I love this paper. I've been so disappointed by a lot of American brands that seem to insist on using glossy, slippery paper with ink that leaves stains on your fingers. This one is the antithesis to that. Matte with a light texture that makes it easier hold folds or wet fold, the beautiful designs won't run off on your fingers.

Good balance of quality and value
When I decided I was going to do a "1000 cranes" project for a loved one, I decided that I didn't want the plain color kit; I wanted some variety and patterns for my cranes. I ordered this paper (360 sheets), and also ordered a box of 1000 star patterned paper. I didn't know which I was going to like best, so I ordered both. When they arrived, I experimented with both and found this paper easier to work with. It holds both a sharp and a soft crease well, has a good 'body' and does not tear easily. It has a pleasant smell of ink on paper. The unprinted side has a very slight texture that is agreeable. Some colors feel thicker than others- (the darker colors), but I suspect that is due to the ink. The patterns themselves are pretty, and while it is not the fanciest paper out there, I think that the the variety of color and patterns is excellent at this price point, and is much nicer than the other paper I sampled. I ordered another two boxes, so I could complete my 1000 cranes from this paper.
