Forrest Gold Paper Bead Roller with Slide Shaft, 1/16-Inch, Green

This tool is fun for rolling beads, but it doesn't really do anything that a toothpick can't do. The slot can be helpful for starting, but that can also be achieved on a toothpick with minimal practice. If you have arthritis in your hands, this tool can make bead rolling a little easier, and it would probably come in handy if you wanted to roll A LOT of beads. I always bring it when I teach paper bead making workshops, but I rarely use it myself.

I love this roller! I find it easy to use with the way that one part stays immobile while the other part you can roll with your thumb and pointer finger. It makes the rolling quite easy and there is less strain on the hand and wrists. (which is very important to me since I had carpal tunnel, and then had the carpal tunnel surgery).I have found that this is still my favorite roller (the 1st roller I purchased) and the other 2 types I tried, I don't like as much. I would recommend this roller to anyone that likes to paper bead.

I received the roller and started using it right away. My friends at my craft class were all asking me to try it and now want me to get them some as well. I suggested the look on Amazon and order it right away. The group instructor was impressed with how well and tightly it wound the beads. She did have a bit of trouble at first finding the slot for the paper but once she figured out the best way for her to insert the paper it was easy going from there. Love my bead rollers. I only use the toothpicks now for glazing.

Recieved as ordered. Needed extras for teaching. 4 stars only because the wrapping pin seems to slip just a little but these rollers with injection feature are the best I've used.

Used this for a class I taught this summer. Also used chopsticks and toothpicks to have a variety of choices for the kids. I personally like this tool. The paper wrapped very easily around it. Especially once it was caught in the insert. But, for me, it's too pricey to buy several to allow for different sizes of holes.

I was so excited when this paper bead roller arrived. I had cut hundreds of strips of paper, with the idea that I would let my granddaughter's pajama party string the beads after I had finished them. Well, my whole plan got trashed when after 30 beads the product fell apart. The handle just came off in my hand. It was a total disappointment. I thought I was buying the better...easier product rather than the simple dowel with a grooved end....what a mistake. I know that ordering something on-line assumes some risk, but I read reviews and I hope this review saves someone else the disappointment I experienced.

I didn't expect to like this little bead roller. I have been rolling my paper beads on skewers and cocktail sticks. I was getting tired hands, so thought I would look to see if one was available on Amazon. A little pricey, but worth it. No more finger cramps!
