I love reading about the Amish. These are good clean stories.

I really enjoyed this book and finished it fast. I'm a big fan of Beverly Lewis. I always day dreamed about what it would be like to be Amish. This book gives a great description of what it would be like if you where an outsider trying to join the Amish church. I felt like I was living through the character Jenny. I loved how the character Katie Lapp says you dont have to be Amish to live a simple life. There where so many pro found quotes that stuck to my heart. I felt the emotions and could relate to the characters. I love when a good book can draw you in like that. I love the Hickory Hollow series and how its all intertwined. I would recommended this book to anyone who always daydreamed what it would be like to be Amish. After reading I felt very peaceful and happy. I dont know how many books besides the Bible that can make you feel peaceful after reading!

This book drew in as Jenny left her English world to join the Amish in a very close knit Old Order Amish community. She learns the welcoming though reserved good. To the shunning bad parts of the Amish. A very good book with several lessons to be learned.lea

You can't go wrong with an Amish book by Beverly Lewis and this one was wonderful. Her books are the kind of books that make you want to get a cup of your favorite beverage, an snack and settle down for a good long read. I am a true fan of Amish fiction and this one keeps the standard high. The subject of the book is an English girl who wants to be Amish and her struggles to accomplish that. I felt like this is a situation that happens in real life occasionally, and so I enjoyed reading what this character went through in her attempt to change her life. The other side of the coin were the Amish girls struggling with the rules of being Amish. An excellent read and one I would highly recommend to all the readers of Amish fiction.

I have a ALL of Beverly Lewis' books and true to form, she writes with descriptive language that puts you right in the scene. I should be Amish by now but I am too big of a shopper so I live my Amish life through these stories:) Her stories are so much better than the others to try to write about the Amish. I have done a lot of research and been to Amish country. Beverly Lewis has lived there an has Amish heritage. She knows so much more first hand. What I love is that she opens the eyes of the unbelievers in her story and at the same time speaks to the reader. I have share these books with many friends and it some way I feel that I am sharing God too.

I very much enjoyed this book. The whole series was wonderful. I thank Beverly Lewis for the inspiration she provides. "The Secret Keeper" was especially a special read for me. We often get so caught up in this world. Jenny had the right idea in going into the "plain life." To focus on the things of God and His will for our lives should be our focus. I admire the Amish people for their minimalistic life style. Thank you Mrs. Lewis for a wonderful thought provoking book. I look forward to more to come.

I love visiting with new and old friends within the pages of books. I’ve read Katie’s story before but loved that her story got to continue some within Jenny’s story. Also Ella Mae is ever so fun always.Loving this series and highly recommend it.

Beverly Lewis is a great writer of Amish living. This series is very well written 4 books are out and the 5th is due out April 1st. I can't wait. You are always left with a cliff hanger. I have all her book and love them all I now wait when a new series starts. I buy the books as they come out and they come out 1 a year. So if you are like me and get into the story and a fast reader I wait until I have all her books I hope you enjoy her as much as I do.

An excellent continuation of the series, have read all of Beverly Lewis books and enjoyed them all. Look forward to some more.
