📚 A Dark Ride with #EmotionalDamage 😈
Full Series Review (Spoiler-Free):I finished this series over six months ago, and it’s still vivid in my mind - the characters, the drama, the chaos, and all the feelings. In my world, that’s proof Shantel Tessier did an incredible job 👏🌷The writing pulls you in, and the characters? To die for. Each book focuses on a different LORD, but they all exist within one twisted universe - connected by a dark, secretive society where power and danger rule. Their paths cross, alliances are formed.Looking for your next book boyfriend? You might just find him here 🥵These love stories are not for the faint of heart. They’re brutal, raw, dark, and addictive. Each romance is its own brand of chaos - spicy, emotional, and dangerous in the best way 🔥While there are some patterns that repeat across the series, every story stands out in its own unique way.The only reason this series didn’t snag a perfect 5 stars? Book 4. It felt more like a spice-fest than a full story (not that I’m complaining too much 🤭).Still, these books completely surprised me. I didn’t expect to love them as much as I did, but those boys? They’re unforgettable 💞So, buckle up, hold on tight, and dive into this deliciously dark world 🚀⭐️ 4.5/5🌶️ 4.5/5🖤Dark Romance🖤Enemies to Lovers🖤Forced Marriage🖤Secret Society🖤Revenge🖤First-Person POV🖤(!) So Many Thoughts…
While this genre is right up my alley, this book was slow to grasp me. I did enjoy the whole thing to a certain extent, but the last half to last third was where I really got into it. I really liked the progression of Ryat and Blake’s love story, the spice was SPICY, the banter was there, and there was a good amount of action and suspense. I read/listened to this one. I think the narration is what got me through the first portion of the book while I was still trying to decide, but the story kept me until the end once we hit that mid point. I admit, I read this book for our book club and was in a major reading slump prior to starting it. I DNF’d three books in a row, and that’s not like me, so I’m kind of glad it was one I knew I needed to read to get me back on track. I ended up really enjoying this book, I love a good dark romance, I love morally grey/black men, and bring on the tw’s. This one got me out of my funk and I’m looking forward to picking up the next book!
