They are very soft so they dnt hurt your ear and they do grab the wax even my grand babies dnt mind me using these on them

I clean my ears obsessively, ie every day as soon as I wake up. So trust I know ear cleaners. I also have had a metal set and bamboo, but these are my favorite. I didn't realize how much using the disposable swabs (or worse, my nail) was damaging my ears until I stopped and got an ear cleaner like this.I like these the best because the silicone l part scratches the ear without damaging it and the plastic end is more rough/thorough. It is so satisfying!The plastic has just the right amount of give compared to metal, and they're easy to clean. I actually like the bamboo texture the best, but those don't come with silicone tips so these are the winner.Yes, the silicone did come off of one once but it was no big deal I just put it right back on. (To the dude so upset one came off in his ear, the photo proves it didn't get stuck, so what's the big deal?)It's still a thousand times better than a q tip. If that cotton bit comes off it could get really stuck in your ear. Tiny bits could be left in your ear and you may not even notice! And they irritate the ear canal and are far too rough.Please also avoid the cleaning kits that involve a candle---those are dangerous and ineffective! Ask your doctor they will tell you the same.I prefer the screw to the scoop but it's nice to have variety. I also like that unlike most sets they are double sided, because I always use both sides (silicone first).Seriously I like these so much I'd buy a set for everyone I know, but most people don't clean their ears so it would be a waste. So next best thing I'm recommending them to you.The other tool I use is a dropper bottle I fill with hydrogen peroxide, to cleanse the canal every now and then.

I like these ear picks as ear scratchers. I do not like them as much as the first set I owned, as they are too soft. I liked a bit of extra stiffness my original set provided. It is essential not to stick them too deep into the ear, just around the opening. Not even as big around as a pencil. The silicone is to soft to be effective, it doesn't do anything. Also left a piece of it in my ear. the spiral and scoop ends are very hard plastic which makes it uncomfortable to use
