Powkoo Aquarium Sponge Filter Bio Filter Sponge Foam Filter for Betta, Fry, Nano Fish Tank

I’ve had this sponge filter running in my 20 long for over two months now and it’s been great. I did switch out the uptake tube for something taller, but I think the sponge works great as long as your air pump is working well too. It’s got a lot of surface because it’s rather wide and with the weighted bottom, it stays down. I’ve found it doesn’t fit an air stone though if you plan to use one, look for one that is a narrow cylinder instead of a sphere.

I absolutely love this filter. It does an amazing job of keeping my 30gal tank clean. I did make a modification to it found on YouTube inserting a bubble stone into it. If you're not good at this sort of thing I'd say don't do it as it works well without the mod. With the stone the bubbles are smaller and I find it increased suction.

This works great in my 36 gallon aquarium. I don't have to clean it very often. It provides great surface area for beneficial bacteria. Tip - to clean, keep air pump running and put sponge filter in a large Ziploc bag before pulling it out of the tank and turning it off. Clean with aquarium water.

Great little sponge filter. Didn’t really know much about these until I bought it. Works wonders, added Air stone looks much better tiny bubbles. Easy to clean just take some aquarium water put it in a bowl and clean don’t use regular water. Otherwise you take the good bacteria out

Great quality! I have a few of these in my 55 gallon in case I need to cycle a new tank fast. Super easy to clean and firm enough to not fall apart. My fry love them and use them a combination of eating and hiding.
