I needed to keep the front door closed to keep the cats inside when people keep forgetting to close it. I didn't need it to latch, just close enough so there's no gaps.Turns out I just needed to install one hinge. The hinge plates fit perfectly, but the tubular hinge part is fatter than a traditional hinge. Due to how tight my door trim was set up, I had to take a wood chisel to notch the trim before the fat hinge could fit.

I absolutely love these hinges we ended up buying more. My kids are always leaving doors open and this is a total game changer. I love that when I walk out of a room the door automatically closes.

Hinges are sturdy. Black matte color match perfectly with our patio gate, but the self-closing internal spring mechs lasted a week. Seems the tension feature stripped out after only minor tension adjustments resulting in spring failure. If self-closing is the main reason for patio door hinges I don't recommend these. I recommend regular hinges with a separate self-closing spring device. Means more money spent but separate devices most likely will outlast the internal springs on these door hinges.

Easy set up. Looks great!

Attempted to install on three different doors in my house and did not fit in any of them. Unable to close door after changing out just one hinge. Would not recommend.
