Follow the Directions!
Best for older kids (7+). You have to tape the shrinky dink paper (6 sheets) over the pictures (we made copies so I could do them along w/my niece) and then trace the outline - if you do it the other way, the outline bleeds into the color. Read the directions! Then you have to cut them out yourself, which isn't a major deal, just an boring extra step and if you forget to cut out the holes for the fins to make them 3D, get out your Dremel tool, because once they're baked, there's no going back! My sister in law did not follow the directions when she baked them and they ended up warped (badly) and the color was coming off on our hands, which I've never seen before w/shrinky dinks? Like I said, follow the directions! They are adorable otherwise! The 6 sheets will make 2 each of each sea creature, but position the paper just right to fit them all on!

Great Toy, But the Description Is Incorrect
I love this toy. My kids have so much fun tracing and coloring each of the items. As a toy I would recommend it to any parent. However, this seller has mislead people into thinking that they will receive 10 sheets of plastic, when in fact you will only be receiving 6 sheets. The items actual packaging states that there are only 6 sheets included. So, I recommend still buying this item, just be aware that the description is incorrect.

Trace your own 3D shrinky dinks
This is a fun shrinky dink set. It comes with blank sheets of shrinky dink material, along with sea life to trace. After making one of every included animal and having about half of the sheets left, my daughter started finding other things to trace and shrink. It's been a lot of fun for her, and I highly recommend this product. Her sisters got shrinky dinks as well so she borrowed their pencils, since pencils (or markers to trace the outline) are not included.

Throughly Disappointed
I thought these were the shrinky dinks of my past. It's tracing paper, which you have to trace your items in several pieces and then cut them and glue them together. The price does not matter, if I have to spend 5 hours to make a turtle this is not an afternoon of fun for me.

This is just a sheet of shrinky dink plastic and ...
This is just a sheet of shrinky dink plastic and some pictures of sea animals you can trace. I anticipated they would already be printed onto the plastic sheet. I don't remember shrinky dinks curling up so much when I was young. Because of how much they curl, the animals with separate pieces don't really work.

For for your kids
I remember shrinky dinks from when I was a kid, so it felt natural to get a few for my kids. The kids had a lot of fun with these. I have 2 gripes. First, you must be carefull to not bake them too long, or they'll curl up into a ball. Second, the crayon/colored pencil wax doesn't spread as well as I remember from my childhood. Still, at this price they can't be beat!

Fun for kids with some help from an adult
The Sea Life Shrinky Dinks set is a favorite among the kids I babysit. Cutting out the shapes requires some coordination, especially since the sheets rip very easily, so I usually help the kids cut out the shapes. Watching the Shrinky Dinks curl up and harden is fun for them. This keeps the kids occupied for at least a couple of hours.

Good old shrinks dinks
Good product. I didn't realize you had to trace the drawings onto blank shrinky dinks paper. That's my fault for not researching enough. It was a bit too hard for my 5 year old twins to trace, but the suggested age is 7 and up. I think a 7 year old would have fun with this!
