A must read for the passionate golfer
This is not the first or the last time I read and buy this book. Being a long time Ben Hogan disciple I find that Bob Thomas has captured a part of the great man's genius that is not commonly known. It's so passionate and fluently written that I always end up giving it away to some dear golfing friend. A couple of days later I miss it in my bookshelf.

He couldn't have done it alone. How a caring wife was a great help to Ben Hogan.
Excellent book for any golf enthusiast. It explains the hardships that the earlier golfers had to face and how the golf professionals were frowned on in by gone days.

Enjoyable
While I was familiar with the life and achievements of Ben Hogan, the way the author has written this book, gives a different perspective of what type of man Ben Hogan was.Very enjoyable.

The Hawk: One of the greats.
A great read about one of the best golfers ever. Telling about how "The Hawk" overcame many obstacles, including the infamous automobile accident which nearly killed him. His love affair with his spouse Valerie and of course the game of golf was intriging for any history buff of the game.
