KawecoSkyline Sport Fountain Pen Mint EF

The Kaweco Skyline Sport is a unique mint color. I ordered the extra fine nib and was pleasantly surprised. It delivered a consistently thin line and did not clog— a problem that can occur with some EF nibs. The screw mechanism is smooth and parts fit well together. The pen is comfortable in the hand and very light, giving it a responsive feel. Given the price, this is an excellent value.My only concern was with the shipping. The pen was sent in a padded envelope. As a result, the cardboard box that it was contained in was smashed. Luckily, the pen made it unscathed. Ideally, it should be sent in a box rather than a padded envelope.

This is an excellent size for keeping in your front pocket, which I do. The color is very pleasing. It writes with acceptable ease as long as you use it regularly. If you're an irregular or infrequent pen user then you may need to rinse and dry the nib to unclog it. Otherwise this has been great for the price. It has not leaked in my pocket, and has withstood banging around with my keys for a month or more.

This isn't a fancy pen, this is a working pen. I needed a pen that I could carry in my pocket and not ever think or worry about it until I need to use it, and this checks the boxes. My concern was that the plastic body wouldn't stand up to rough living inside a pocket being crushed with keys, change, pocket knife, whatever. I haven't carried it for an extended amount of time, but the body feels durable enough that I'm confident it will be just fine; it doesn't feel flimsy or brittle, it feels like it can stand up to the pocket life, and not being pampered in a drawer or on a desk top. It's really small; even when I knew the measurements, actually holding it in hand the size surprised me. Too small to use without posting, but when posted it's the same length as a Pilot G2 minus the clicker, perfectly usable if you can use that pen comfortably. It's really light as well, so light that I wonder if it would result in cramping or discomfort writing for a long time, but that's not what this pen is for, this pen is for having on hand to use for short periods. I had heard some people have problems with the nibs of Kawecos, mine performed fine (EF); smooth writing and feed without any hiccups. I suppose one could find a smoother nib, but again, for this pen's purpose, the nib is perfectly acceptable. All things considered, this is a great pen for this price. If I get another pen for this role to replace it in my pocket, I don't imagine it will be due to any failure or shortcoming on the part of this pen, just an urge to "upgrade." Or not--there really isn't any need to "upgrade" from this pen, this will likely be all the pen a person "needs" for a pocket pen.

New to fountain pens and Kaweco is my favorite. I love them. Good assortment of ink colors. They write smoothly and evenly. No scratch. Size is perfect and very comfortable to write with. They come in great colors. I have an assortment so far: dark blue, aqua blue, red, macchiato, frosted orange, lilac. The performance and quality is so good I am sure I will purchase more because I am addicted now. 🥴

This is a great pen. the color is a little lighter than is shown depending on your screen. It comes with a blue ink cartridge inside the pen that you have to activate ( just shove the narrow end onto the sharp tube at the back of the nib and screw everything back) shake the pen a few times to get the ink flowing (make sure you're over paper or something you don't care about so the ink doesn't fly out onto something you don't want it to) and you're ready to write. I like these pens a lot. This is the second one I've purchased. I like the control of the fountain pen and that you can change ink color. The only problem with a fountain pen is you have to use it regularly so the ink doesn't dry up in the pen, but if it does it's an easy fix, just rinse out the nib in water to clear out the dried up ink. If it hasn't been too long just dip the nib in water and sometimes that'll get things flowing again. A nice pen makes you want to write more even. It certainly makes it a more pleasant experience.

Small pen, big performance - you get a lot of pen out of this remarkably small package.I could not be happier with this pen, it is in my opinion the perfect writing instrument for all tasks! I was pleasantly surprised by just how petite it is in person - it appears much larger in all of the reference images I've seen. The pen slides effortlessly into any pocket when capped, and due to its light plastic construction, practically disappears. I wear moderately slim denim most of the time, and there is no awkward bulge when the pen is in pocket - it doesn't bother me whether I'm sitting or standing, it's slim and sleek. The writing experience is an absolute joy, it makes you want to find reasons to write. The nib seemed perfectly calibrated right out of the box, and has been nothing but a pleasure to use!

I purchased this from the seller shoppingfever. I don't know if that makes a difference but i read someone received a pen with a different nib brand. That wasn't my case. Of course I don't know what seller they purchased from. This is my 2nd purchase from that specific seller. I bought a brass kaweco from them and it came perfect.The kaweco medium nib is great. It writes smooth and clean. The main reason I stick to medium nibs is for the ability to use simmery ink and for it to actually show on paper. The pen is compact and light. I see this pen lasting years despite that it's plastic. The ability to screw in the caps when not in use is one of the reasons I stick to kaweco pens. I would definitely recommend this. The pretty mint color is just an extra plus !!

UPDATE: The Kaweco company reached out immediately…suggested that the supplied cartridge was stuck in the bottom of the barrel. I didn’t realize it came with ink… So I thought it had been returned and someone got a cartridge stuck in it. One firm wrap on my desk and the cartridge popped out and I was able to use my pen. It has a nice clean line ….when you use the nib upside down, you get an even finer line . It will be a great pen for on the go!After waiting weeks for this product and getting the piston converter first… I was seriously disappointed to realize that I could not get the barrel of the pen over the converter after filling it with ink. And making a huge mess. There is something stuck in the bottom of, the fountain pen barrel so that you cannot put the barrel over the converter. I will be looking for a Refund or replacement. So disappointed.

Good pen, it's plastic but still good. I should have opted for stainless steel.

I was disappointed to receive the pen with its cartridge exploded inside the pen. When I unscrewed it, the interior was lined with ink .Very messy and disappointing
