Port savers
I've always been a fan of magnetic gadgets like these. They save wear and tear on ports. I'm using these on my Surface Pro 8 and they work just fine. I also have a similar product for my cell phone.I love the convenience and the fact that I can just pop them off easily when I need to, without worrying about damaging anything. Honestly, they are the best investment you can make for your treasured electronics. The only knock is that they are a bit pricey, but they work and it's a good insurance policy. The magnets are strong and the signals go through. Perfect!

It works well
Reason for purchasing...Since I got a new A2337 MacBook Air I wanted to take some extra precautions and decided to go with a magnetic usb-c adapter, mainly for charging to prevent any accidents.Recommendation...I am not sure if there are any alternatives that can address the issues that I have with these. If you cannot find any that do then these are still a good choice.Issues I found...I purchased the apple MacBook plastic cover for my MacBook. This prevented me from leaving the magnetic plug in the MacBook when I want to close the lid. This is mostly an issue of convenience since I now have an additional item to remove from my carry bag as well as to put away. The second issue that I noticed was that the magnetic adapter heats up a fair amount when the MacBook is charging. Although it is not to the point that it will damage anything it is still something to take notice of.The final issue that I will mention is once again more of a convenience issue. Since I need to remove the magnetic plug every time I am done charging or connecting a device I need to use the string that comes with the magnetic adapters. Although this is not a big deal I think that it would have been nice if the string used to remove the magnetic plug was attached to the adapter casing to prevent it from being lost and simply for ease of use.

Great but Isn't thunderbolt 3 supposed to support 40 Gb/ps?
It literally just fit in my ipad pro 11 (3rd gen) with the Logitech folio touch case. Since i have the case it makes it almost flush with the outside, which is nice. That said, because its a tight fit due to the case rubber, you have to slightly wiggle or force it to fully engage the magnet. Once connected though its really secure. I may still drill out the case hole slightly on each end to make it easier to plug in. Either way its totally worth, the magnets are nice and strong. I use my port pretty often, especially to do top up charging since i dont like to charge past 80%, nor is it necessary. I dont want to wear out my port prematurely, and shame on apple for not including a magnetic charge port like the surface pro separate from the HDMI/USB. Oh well, thats what these third party magnet adapters are for, highly recommended!

Paying for Quality and Performance
Yes they are expensive. But....The transfer rates and the "fast charging" capabilities are worth it. You will not get the message about slow charging you see pop up on some devices. (unless its your cord or plug slowing the process. I bought a set for a specific high end device as a "just in case" Today I ordered another 2 pack so I can use it on more devices and more locations that I leave my cords/plugs. I do love these things. Magnets are nice and strong but I've gone to plug things in and that special connector is in another part of the house. It's a pain to try to get the little piece that plugs into your device out btw. Especially with a case. But I guess that's a good thing.A side note. Both ends are magnetic. The connector attached to my cord I often just stick to something steel and grab it when I want. (not hanging on the floor. The little nib in the phone: (if I do ever take them out to use a regular cord) I stick to a betal object around the plug area and it doesn't get lost. Great job to this company!

They cost a bit more, and work a lot better.
Have used these adapters for a few weeks now and I seriously had doubts about them. I have used many of these adapters and most have cheap, weak magnets and unreliable connections to the actual cable inputs. These have noticeably stronger magnets (great for charging the new MBP with USB C charging- Magsafe reborn!)Came with a little metal ringed lanyard but don't see the use for it...They also seem to be quite durable. I am a bit rough with my cables and so far have held up exactly as expected. Happy to have an adapter that's reliable for charging and transfer!
