Strum Hollow 5th String Banjo Capo

I wasnt sure how this was going to work or sound. The photos in the description makes the brass look like a piece of cork. Nonetheless, it works AMAZINGLY!! Great idea and ingenuity for sure!

The 5th string capo works perfectly and is so easy to install and uninstall I keep it with my 5 string always.

I was searching multiple marketplaces for an affordable option for capo’ing my 5th string. This was by far the most affordable, and I have to say I love it. I was concerned that with as tall as it is, it would always make my string sharp, but since it actually sits just behind the fret, it compensates for itself. It is easy to use, and comes with a lovely little pouch that has saved me from losing my picks I also enjoyed the little note from the makers. Even if they arent local to me, it’s nice I was able to support a local business. I highly recommend.

Just a heads up, I'm a beginner banjoist, and I'm no expert on the best capos. Still, I was just getting to the point where I wanted to start experimenting with capos on my banjo, but I didn't want to commit to something that would require any permanent alteration to my banjo (like railroad spikes or sliding capos). So, I tried out this little gadget, and it works perfectly!!This capo is a good price, convenient, and stable. Also, the sellers are very friendly, prompt and packaged it with care. Maybe I'll want to try something else out further in my banjo journey, but I'm very happy I went this route for now.

This worked OK especially for gentle playing. I play clawhammer a lot and that causes me to dig in a lot on the 5th string. This has a tendency to move/rattle a little bit. After a few weeks of occasional use the felt pad came off.Overall this felt pretty loose. But still was fun to have, since it's not destructive. I think some sort of rubber pad would work better and provide more stability when this is on.

Works exactly as it’s supposed to. Such a great value when you want to avoid putting spikes in your neck and a lot of other fifth string capos are over priced. Thanks Ken and Trisha.

This little device is so easy to use and is quite an efficient 5th string capo if you want to avoid, or just can't wait for the installation of capo spikes. I also have the highway 5th string capo and the simplicity of this little device makes it my choice. Save the money and just get the Strum Hollow.
