Great French press but poor durability
We used this French press for a few weeks and absolutely loved it. The filter does a perfect job of keeping all coffee/tea grounds out of your final product. It's also easy to clean and looks fantastic sitting on the counter. However, one day it lightly bumped another item on the counter and broke.... way too easily. If it had fallen on the floor I would have understood but I think it should have been able to handle a light bump. I emailed to ask for a replacement for the glass portion only and have heard nothing in response.

High quality, great price, look no further for a French press!
I really like this French press! A friend told me about it, and the price was reasonable, so I bought one for making loose leaf tea. My old press, which I thought was nice, pales in comparison to this one. Old version (which I used for coffee) has a plastic handle and flimsy top. I put them next to each other and could not believe the difference in quality. Just picking it up by the handle was a completely different experience. Normally I would not notice such things, but I'm trying to pay more attention to the few belongings I posses these days, and getting more selective as I get older :) I also appreciate that it even comes with 3 extra filters.Bottom line: this French press by BitElegant far surpasses a standard French press in terms of ergonomics, aesthetics, and everything else. I doubt you will regret purchasing this beautiful product.

filters pretty well. the glass if thin
decent product. filters pretty well. the glass if thin, but not so much i fear breaking it. would be nice to be able to remove the long stem when soaking tea for 48 hours (I have some tea that takes longer to soak) or coffee i like to be very strong i also soak a long time. but it is hard to keep in fridge because the unit is tall and has almost the same size stem hanging out on the top. Maybe a second lid that is just flat that sits over the top until your ready to strain the tea/coffee.

Use this french press every day!
I bought this french press - 34 oz "8 coffee cup" - maker about 10 months ago. I had never purchased one before and I wasn't much of a coffee drinker. But I wanted something hot to drink in the morning that wasn't tea and I wanted a device that was easy to use and not wasteful.I ordered this one and have loved it. I use it every day. I pop the glass part into the dishwasher and the strainer on the top level. So far, so good. Then I pull out the grounds and compost them. I didn't want a time intensive or part intensive coffee maker, so this french press has been easy for me to use.Although it says 8 cups, it sure doesn't feel like it. But that's fine for me. It makes enough to where my husband and I have a full mug to bring to work each day. I would buy this again and recommend it to friends.

Worth it
This is a quality product for a great price. It is easy to clean. I like the design of the lid because it is all metal. My previous press (Bodum brand) had a piece of plastic attached to a metal piece and water would get inside and when the plastic eventually fell off it was disgusting and rusted. I also had broken the glass container a couple times and the replacements cost close to $20. That replacement glass from Bodum that cost $20 is slightly thicker than the BitElegant glass. However, the BitElegant has a design that wraps the glass partially in metal. This helps protect it. Also, the BitElegant set costs about the same as just a replacement glass from the other brand. That's the reason I purchased this product instead. I am very happy with the BitElegant French Press. I use it pretty much daily and have used it several months. Still works great.

NOT A GOOD STAINLESS STEEL AS THEY SAID
The glass beaker does not dislodge from it's SS case. I have had 20 different people try to remove it. IMPOSSIBLE. It is now filthy between the metal and glass, not to mention the metal is rusting. More importantly, I bought this because it was glass with "high quality stainless steel"...after 5 uses the SS filters are pitting. This is why they would not tell me the grade of SS when I asked the SEller. I am throwing it in the trash !!! Bad for my health and I don't trust this company.

Good Press Pot with No Plastic
Honestly better than I expected. Used Bodum for years. Broke the glass a few times and replaced it. No big deal, but the costs add up. Since I broke the glass on the ol' Bodum again and the rest of it was pretty worn, I got this press all new. I LOVE that even the lid is stainless, so unlike my old Bodum there is no plastic touching my coffee ever. It filters the coffee well (there will always be sediment--it's a press pot), and it feels really sturdy. Don't get me wrong: glass is glass and I'll surely break this glass some day. However, the glass does seem a bit thicker than I'm used to and the base really seems to add some sturdiness. I'd buy it again just because of the lack of plastic, though.

Probably the best way to have a quick great Vietnamese coffee
I have been using this product a for a couple of days now and this is my review so far.I was looking a way to create a great Vietnamese coffee for my and my wife in the morning without having to wait for the coffee to drip until we found this. This is probably the best way to make quick coffee in the morning for two or more persons. My observations:- Sturdy, well made, good quality high grade stainless steel- Thick thermal glass so that I don't accidentally burn myself even with hot water in it.- Simple and clean design. No fuss- The included filters are really fine. I am using a single filter but I can see people can double them.- There is no plastic parts so I really think this would last for a long time- It was bundled with 3 spare filters so I think I wouldn't have to think about replacements for a whileI personally think this is great for parties too where I can just have different flavors of coffee and tea, and don't have to worry about refilling them for the guests.
