Ekena Millwork BKT06X10X02ED 6-Inch W x 2-Inch D x 10 3/8-Inch H Edwards Bracket

Well once again Ekena delivers for my home.I will admit to having a somewhat eccentric and highly trimmed home.This particular "bracket' was totally misused by myself for its "intended design"Rather than using this as a bracket it was instead mounted and employed at floor level, mounted upside down as a sort of highly sleek decorative PLINTH on two tall and wide Doorway columns.The SLIM 2" o.a. Low Profile depth is great .A very nice and easy flowing detail at a reasonable price.I have probably just broken every rule in the "Trim Finishers Handbook" but it looks Great !The effect was dramatic and as with all the Ekena products I have used....the effect is immediate.The measurements of this particular all worked for my particular dimensions in the house.They look great as a transition from the floor to the column.and am very pleased to add this nice 2" deep compact line to the doorway column bases.As with ALL Ekena embellishments, it is wonderful that they come primed.One key to working with these products is to spend some time caulking and re priming and feathering, to Merge and become a seamless part of the structure. (as opposed to something "stuck on").....I use heavy oil base primers....you do not want to see a seam.....work with it a bit, it is worth the effort.An unintended and unorthodox use for this particular bracket was a really good thing design wise for my heavily trimmed home.

Preparing our house for sale and wanted to feature some arch details in two doorways. I already had wood arches that I could add some crown to but did not have the time nor did I want to spend the money researching and buying columns, and reworking baseboards. So I bought these and they really look great! It would have been preferable for me to do the column thing but these look terrific, the price was great, amazon came through with a quick delivery, and I couldn’t be happier. Easy to install, too.

Professional wood shop that normally uses high end carvings. My client had to use this one because she loved it and the price. I would recommend you buffing with 220 grit sand paper if you are spraying them to get a smooth surface. If you are painting by brush, they are good to go as is. I was surprised by the quality and will use again for paint grade projects where clients want quality at an affordable price.

Easy to paint. Light weight in that I can use a simple command hook or Velcro to put it where I needed. No nails.

Received item today, a week earlier than promised and it's awesome. Loved it much more than showed in pics.....Buy blindly :)

Crisp edges and primer coat were dented and chipped. Had to do touch up that should be unnecessary in a new product. Disappointed.

J’ai magasiné beaucoup avant de trouver beaux et pas trop chers! Ils se marient avec plusieurs styles de décors et étant minces, ils ont moins l’allure des styles Victoriens. Bien que j’aime le style Victorien, mon décor est plutôt Boho chic mélangé avec du contemporain! Bien contente!
