Solid keyboard for gaming AND typing
As a college student who games and types a lot I wanted to get into the custom mechanical keyboard scene. This is definitely a really solid entry to it. I bought it while it was full price and of course now they can be bought much cheaper. However, even having bought it full price I think it was worth the money. If you’re coming a gaming board, this is going to feel crazy. It’s heavy, it’s quiet (maybe not the stabs on some boards), and it feels so high quality. If you’re already a keyboard enthusiast, you’re probably not going to like it. The stabs I mentioned before aren’t perfect by any means. The factory lube job is poor to say the least. I was lucky with only my left shift having any sort of rattle and its minimal. every other stabilizer feels great to me. The “Gasket Mounting” is very stiff and just feels like a sandwich mount. so if you want a flexible board be prepared to spend even more money on mods. But if you’re fine with a stiff board it’s not that bad. Good keyboard that I Genuinely enjoy, but you can definitely get comparable options for a better price although they may have trade offs, which is why i chose this board.

Almost perfect, nevertheless is a good choice
tl;dr - Grab it in sale, I got mine for around $111, which is a good price for a full body/case aluminum keyboard, these things doesn't come cheap. I wanted a gmmk pro since I started to get serious into this keyboard hobby, around one year ago, but at the time was quite pricey and I was just getting started on the custom keyboards space and instead went and bought a gmmk2 and a keychron v1. But finally I got my own gmmk pro, and for the little stuff I learned in this period of time here are my honest thoughts. Just a little background about myself so you'll know for sure if this might be the right keyboard for you: At the time I've only used tray mounted keyboards, on the not-so-budget friendly side, I own a gmmk2, keychron v1 and keychron v2. So this is the first time I'm using a keeb with an aliminum case and gasket mount(more on that later) Pros: - sturdy - didn't found scratches or factory defects, and I thoroughly inspected my new purchase - if you can have it as low as $111, this might be a nice purchase for you - even though the "gasket" mount doesn't behave as expected, like it doesn't give any flex, I don't mind it, I really love my tray mounted keyboards and wanted something with a more premium feeling(like having a full aliminum case), but with a familiar typing experience, like I haven't tried myself a flexible gasket mounted keyboard, and wouldn't know if I'd like the feeling of flexing the keeb while bottoming out the keys, I really type hard so then again, don't mind the sturdiness of this mount - is a heavy boy, if you're into that, you might love it - is qmk/via compatible, just need to follow instructions from glorious or any other site on how to flash the firmware, painless experience - has a bottom foam inside the keeb, frankly would prefer a silicone sound dampener as keychron does, but this foam works just fine - you have more cosmetic options from glorious themselves, sadly they don't sell all their merch in amazon; I got a brass plate to get a better sound with tactile switches and a top frame to match better my keycaps(all of the above directly from glorious) - glorious themselves sells a so called "flex kit" which improves the whole issue of this keeb not being flexy, but mind the price of that, can be on sale as low as $60, regular price is $100. so if you got money to burn, then don't mind this comment. if you're a normal guy like me, think first. If what you want is a flexible gasket mount keeb, look somewhere else, as price for the base model plus the flexy kit might not worth it compared with similar keyboards. - south facing rgb Cons: - the included stabs are very bad, like very very bad, lub job is not bad, but one of the stabs got stuck, that's not something new for me, I even have purchased stabs from glorious before and found the awful surprise of getting stuck as well. fortunately had some durock clones(new kingdom I think they're called) around, and swap them out. Even clones and very cheap stabs are better than any stabs glorious has made so far - the keeb not being flexy can be a con for some, but as this review is purely subjective, I put it in "pros" because that's what I wanted - regular price of $170 might not be of your liking, considering you can have fully built keyboards with aluminum case and better gasket mount system for that same price All and all, I'm loving this keeb, even if it is not a flexible gasket one, I feel a step up from my regular tray mounted keebs, the sound and the typing feedback is amaizing So my take aways: - get it on sale - do your homework and make sure to know what this keyboard IS and what IS NOT, before you buy it, so you'll manage your expectations - have stabs ready, just in case, but for the looks of it, you might end up with bad stabs, so you might NEED to change them. As demonstrated in the video, the "ascend" key doesn't ascend :)

BEEFY keyboard with nice lighting
This thing could be used as a blunt force instrument. Simple design and fits well on my small desk. Remove the keycaps and easy to clean. Feels good and has decent brightness of the backlights. I recommend pairing with akko switches or similar and your favorite PBT keycaps.

Don't Buy Open Box!
Bought an Open-Box, but it wasn't any good even though it was "Like-New" from Glorious. Stabilizers were all messed up and unclipped from their normal spots. Once I fixed those, I put the switches in, and 7-9 random keys were not working. Each key was installed properly (Even tried swapping switch) but still had the issue. The frame had great build quality so if you get a functioning unit, you will be happy. Just buy new and avoid the trouble.

The first ingredient for a fine helping of Thocc
Excellent custom keyboard base. - Super Solid machined metal for phenomenal sound - 3 or 5 pin support, hot swappable - south facing bright LEDs, - nice usb-C cable. - quit stalling and just get it. It's worth as much as the $225 barebones sets, and definitely worth spending the extra $75 or so bucks to get over cheaper alternatives. It'll be with you for a long time. For many years I used low profile keyboards like the Nuphy air75, logitech g915, etc because I work on a laptop and preferred the flat keycaps better for my horizontal (instead of vertical) finger movement when typing. Low profile keyboards have massive limitation in terms of customization since parts can be difficult to find and non-standardized. Once I got over the height (with a palm rest), and discovered flat profile XDA keycaps: there is no beating the hotswap keyboards like this one. This is the first keyboard I've had in a while that hasn't been wireless... but honestly I don't mind the coiled cables so I can reposition easily on my desk, and I don't have to worry about it going dead in the middle of a game (which has happened many many times.) Can't recommend enough. Trying to find more friends before christmas so I can build them a custom keyboard using this barebones kit, lol. Rest of the keyboard I also highly recommend for a near silent thocc. -Switches: Redragon A113 Bullet QL Soft Linear -Cable: GunMjo coiled -Keycaps: Ussixchare Gaming PBT XDA

Worth every penny!
I found this barebones body after essentially destroying my non hot-swappable PCB and let me tell you I would destroy my previous PCB over and over again to get my hands on this! First off, I am INCREDIBLY impressed with the material and had no idea the entire body was aluminum as I was expecting a lightweight body but this is even better. The ease of adding my Kailh switches and keycaps was tremendous and had my entire keyboard ready to go in about 10 minutes. The included cabling and tools are also super helpful. The only downside I would say has to do with the fact that my Macbook can't properly register 70% keyboards so some of the function keys are a bit off but I blame Apple for that and not Glorious. When it comes to my PC this thing absolutely cranks and is fantastic. If you're serious about getting into the custom keyboard game and want to be solely responsible for your switch/keycap selections but want someone else to handle your body, this is for you!

Great keyboard. Bad stabilizers, over stripped screws though.
It sounds good out the box without any modifications to it. BUT the stabilizers are bad. You will definitely need to buy your own stabilizers for this keyboard. The stabilizers that come with this are over-lubed, which if you just wipe off some excess lube it will definitely be an improvement if you don’t want to spend extra or take time to put in new stabilizers. This is kind of a nitpick but it’ll most definitely make your typing experience much more pleasurable. You can make modifications to change the sound profile, there are a lot of after market parts you can buy and change out in this keyboard to effect the sound profile and feel of typing on the keyboard. So it makes it very easy for people getting into keyboards make their own custom keyboard and play around with modifications, especially since the warranty covers the keyboard even if you have modifications added to it. (I would suggest doing a tape mod, it is a super simple modification to add to any keyboard). BUT the screws are terrible, they are easy to strip and out the box some are screwed tight, on top of that, there are A LOT of screws. In the box, it included a cable for your keyboard, a keycap puller, and a switch puller. It also has extra gaskets since it is a “gasket mounted” keyboard but the gaskets are thin and they don’t really do anything in the keyboard. Its nice to have if you don’t already have a keycap or switch puller, but I’d suggest buying your own. They do the job though. As far as how the keyboard looks, it looks great! There is nice illumination on both sides of the keyboard and as well as back lit SOUTH facing LEDS for you keys. Depending on what switches you choose will determine how much light will shine through, and what keycaps you decide to choose. Its a great looking keyboard. There are other barebones keyboards that look very similar to the GMMK Pro like the Keychron Q1 or Akko Mod 007 and a bunch of others, $170 for the GMMK Pro is a bit steep considering you definitely want to change out the stabilizers which adds to the cost of you buying you own switches and keycaps as well. I would wait for this to go on sale, if you can, put it on your wish list and wait for a sale. I got this keyboard for $110! I paired mine with Gateron Oil Kings linear switches and I haven’t had new stabilizers come in yet, but once they do I am definitely going to replace them. The stabilizer on my enter key has the worst rattling compared to the other keys which weren’t too bad out the box actually. It is different for everyone because the factory lubed is pretty inconsistent. I am honestly satisfied (mostly) with the keyboard it is a great keyboard and definitely way better if you’re coming from one if those nasty mainstream gamer keyboards.

Qualidade excelente
