Tupac: Tupac

This is a great book for people who enjoy Tupac. Whether they like his Acting, Music, or him for the role he played in life.It includes:Numerous pictures (I haven't seen a good bit of them until now)Lyrics/PoemsScripts (for music videos and other cool stuff)Documents (such as Birth Certificate, Passport, Legal documents...)Letters[I thought this was pretty cool, there is a page where he wrote the song order for the CD "Me Against the World" it might have more albums outlined but I'm not 100% positive]And other cool things...If you like to read full length biographies or autobiographies then I wouldn't recommend it for that. It's more of a story book with pictures and lots of, if not only, words from him. (possibly from interviews or from diaries that they chose not to insert.The only bad thing I would say is receiving it in the mail. It comes in a paper envelope (no bubbles) and the package had been punctured in a few spots. The book has a few tears and scratches also a sticker in the top right that was peeled off left a spot. Here's the thing that got me, they used a sharpie and put a marking on the bottom (where the pages are) so on those pages there is a small black smudge. The price is a little too much, maybe even a few dollars cheaper would work (especially with the condition that it is in) but I guess a bit of this will be going to TASF but if not then I don't know why they have the price up (The back of the book says $18.95) not to mention it's nearly 10 years old.

This is a brilliant book that is not a typical bio in any sense. It pieces together Pac's own words ... quotes, letters, handwritten lyrics, etc into one collection that sheds light on who he actually was. This is almost like cracking open his family's scrapbook. True fans should not pass this up. It makes for a quick, yet insightful and emotional look at a complicated man. On top of that, the photos alone are worth the price! So many rare pics and scans. A masterwork. Plus, it was authorized by Pac's mother. A nice companion to the documentary on Pac. Both are amazing.

if your reading this then your probably contemplating purchasing this book. I have been a fan of 2pac since I was a little boy. He gave me hope when I had none.I had Keep Ya Head Up on cassette si gle and would play that thing over & over. Now Im a grown man and still listening to that song over & over.Theres not a song that goes by of 2pacs that puts a tear in my eye wishjng he was still alive and the impact he would be making on other young mens life with new music. This book is a beautiful representation of him and you will be doing yourself an injustice by not purchasing it.This book is beautiful and everyone should purchase it. I know Im glad I did !! Until the end of time....

After borrowing this book from a friend, I have purchased and gifted this book at least 3x - and will continue to do so. It is insightful, raw and brutally honest. I was never a big fan of Tupac UNTIL I read this book. It's hard to describe his tone, but he is able to connect to the reader, by being both very strong, but also showing weakness. I personally was captivated by his openness and authenticity, through the good and the bad. All the ugly parts of ourselves and our lives that we may want to cover up and hide, Tupac reveals. There is something included here from every part of his life, living in the inner city, his education, the movie industry, family and prison life, no part goes untouched. With handwritten letters and family photos it is a fascinating journey through his eyes, one that I will never forget and only wish to continue to share with others. It’s a must buy.

This gift was really a hit! Much effort was put into this book and it's appreciated.

If you're a Tupac fan, you need this book. I also recommend, Tupac Shakur from the editors of Vibe. For this book though, there are many, MANY, unpublished and rarely seen photos of Tupac at home, with friends and family, on music and movie sets and on and on. This essentially is a photo book filled with quotes and excerpts from interviews as well as copies of hand written poems and lyrics. It's a very touching book that will have you feeling like you have followed Tupac's growth from his days as a child to his untimely passing. A beautiful book for a beautiful soul, taken from us much too soon. Thank you for this book.

I really love this book. I didn't know what to expect being used but it was in excellent condition. It looks practically new! The pictures are vivid and clear. His poetry and quotes from interviews are all in the book. I'm glad I purchased the book. I was and I still am a big Tupac fan. It's a must have for all Tupac fans!

if you have the DVD or you have watched it...then you should have this too.i loved the fact that it has so many photos of Tupac's life.it hasn't something more to give to true Tupac fans that most of the info they get from this book they know it already. but the whole story as it is in the documentary that comes from Tupac's mouth...alongside with all the pics makes this book a must have.

Cet ouvrage réalisé par sa maman est rempli de photos (magnifiques) de Tupac, nous faisant parcourir son chemin depuis son enfance jusqu'à ses dernières heures, avec des textes et citations de Tupac, sur sa vie, sur la société, sur ses préoccupations.. On y trouve également des photos de manuscrits ou de ses lettres (principalement celles de sa correspondance en prison) qui méritent d'être lues tellement elles sont chargées de sa réalité. Cet ouvrage est une pure réussite, un indispensable !!

Book was amazing. My partner loved it. The delivery was an issue though. I had to search my local area shops for it.

Zwar wurde das Buch sehr schnell geliefert, jedoch habe ich Schäden entdeckt die weder in der Beschreibung standen noch woanders.Das Buch ist teils in einem guten Zustand ( eher weniger) und teilweise nicht.Vorne ist ein dicker Knick, was nicht grade schön aussieht und mich etwas stört, und durch den starken Knick sind auch die ersten paar Seiten ebenfalls geknickt.Und Unmengen von Kratzer sind ebenfalls vorhanden, Seiten extrem abgenutzt.Bin froh dass das Buch nicht bemalt wurde, aber naja bin nicht grade zufrieden damit deswegen nur 2 Sterne.

Das Buch ist leider sehr verkratzt, überall sind Gebrauchsspuren. Es wird nirgends darauf hingewiesen, dass das Buch gebraucht ist... sehr enttäuschtend!
