Definitely very fun lights to install
I purchased about 24 of these lights in different models and such and overall I would say at least 92% of them worked. I did have to return a few but that was relatively easy and they are very fun to play with. You have so many different color variations and smart settings. You can adjust them easily.I definitely highly suggest for anybody that needs a thin non-canned recessed light to buy these are the other models.

Easy to Install - App needs some serious work.
I am glad I found these lights. They are easy to install and can be used without problem to replace older can lights, without the mess of having to remove the cans.Overall you really get good value for your money. The whites are bright and the colors are intensive and really nice.I would have given these lights 5 stars were it not for two issues.Issue one was the spring clips you need to attach to the lights, you need these to hold the light in place.I literally tried for hours to get these clips attached, to no avail. I chased the springs that sprung through my kitchen all morning, but wouldn’t just stay where they are supposed to stay. The instruction manual was unfortunately no help. It’s size is about 3”x3” and the particular instructions for the clips were 4 step by step pictures printed in the lower half of a page, two next to each other. The single image size was maybe the size of a stamp, so you can imagine how difficult it was to figure out how to attach the clips. I was finally so frustrated, I gave up and was considering sending everything back and give up on my project. Then I remembered the seller had offered to help if problems arose.Unfortunately it’s not possible to call customer service, but an email I sent was answered within 30-40 minutes. This is impressive, considering you usually get an automated answer first telling you, you’ll get a “real” answer within xy business days. This company had sent me the 4 pictures from the instruction manual in high-res , so even when you blow them up on your device, the picture stayed sharp and clear. Additionally they explained every step in words, and asked to get back at them, should other problems arise.I finally managed to get the clips on, (and my thumbs and index fingers will probably be sore for a week…;-) )I believe it would be a good idea, if the clips would be already attached to the lights in the box.Issue number 2 is the app.I am computer savvy, and work with many apps for home automation, the functionality of most are very similar; most being very intuitive, which makes it easy for everyone to work with it.Well the app that comes with these lights is the most cumbersome and confusing app I ever worked with. Other than the initial setup process and connection to Alexa/Google, which was easy and quick, fine tuning settings, such as building a group, having a widget to turn all lights on/off etc. is almost impossible to manage. The little user manual has some instructions with images of the app, to explain the steps. I don’t see very well in the first place, but the extremely small fonts used in the mini booklet, are impossible for me to read, without getting a major headache and burning eyes.It would be a good idea, to make the contents of the instructions available on the app.The few answered questions in the FAQs are almost exclusively about technical issues with Wi-Fi connection and other technical issues with the light. There is no help section on the app.It would be a good idea to put at least links to the according help sections on the manufacturers website, where it can be stored. There are several pre made scenes available, but as long as I haven’t figured out how to create a group to apply the settings to the group instead to each light, they are of no real value. There is really no good workflow, working with this app, and the developers definitely need to get back to the drawing board with their app.It would be nice, if it was as easy to use, as it was to install their lights.

Love the lights, the app needs some work
These lights are bright and look great! I had them installed around the front soffit of my house. My hopes were that I could load certain scenes, AKA themes, for different special occasions. This can be done, but the app does not give you much control over how it is done, unless you just set each one individually. When I first got them, I was able to load a scene where the lights would fade into different colors. The problem with that was that I could not set the order of the lights, so it didn't look as good as it could have if the lights changed color in order. I really hope they make some improvements to the app in the future because that's the only downfall to these so far!

Frequent malfunctions. Unreliable.
Was not too difficult to install or pair with wifi. Installed 4 lights in the kitchen and put them under a group in Alexa. They worked well initially. However if switched off or on by the wall switch, they lose their wifi pairing and start flashing rapidly. Initially, it was happening to only one light and now it happening randomly. Eventually, somehow they pair again on their own, but it is a headache. All lights are less than 10 feet from the router and the signal is not a problem. Definitely not worth the money. Will try to switch them out to regular lights on wifi or Z-wave switch if the problem persists. Waiting to hear from the seller.Update-Did get a response from the seller. Not very helpful . The problem is with the way the chip in the lights is programmed, as well as having multiple wifi lights on the router with increasing traffic congestion and perhaps with the Chinese servers through which traffic is routed every time the lights are switched on or off. They do not turn on instantly when using a physical on/off switch but either remain off for a few minutes or start flashing for some time until wifi connection through the internet gets made. This behavior is annoying and may be acceptable for some, but downright unsafe if you expect the light to come on by a physical switch in the middle of the night. Had installed six in the kitchen, took them off and replaced them with similar LED lights that come with a bluetooth hub which uses bluetooth mesh technology and has proven more reliable
