I'm so insanely happy with this
I'm so insanely happy with this. The place I work does not let me have music streaming from my computer but I need the audio from the computer. I use this to play audio from my phone along with audio from the computer to my bluetooth headphones. It's a real life changer. I can't live without it.

Does not work with non-Braven Bluetooth speakers & Braven provides no support
I thought this was the perfect answer to my problem: leave my Echo Dot always connected to a speaker while also allowing a 2nd device to pair as needed, mix both those signals so that music from my phone could play while the Dot is still available to respond audibly, then output that mixed signal to both a speaker that stays plugged into power near the Dot (always on) & a 2nd one that can move around the house with me.On paper, it's ideal. In practice, I'll probably end up returning it. As far as I can tell, there's no way to connect a non-Braven speaker to the FUSE (despite some Q&A above to the contrary). It may sort of be sometimes possible, but not reliably: my cheap HDMX speaker will sometimes connect (though drop out randomly), but I've never been able to get my Anker Soundcore 2 to pair. This means you're probably stuck with using Braven speakers, which is a bad idea because Braven seems to have completely scrubbed their website of info on the FUSE. Even the "tutorials" type links in the manual that came in the box no longer work. If Braven is dumping it, then investing in more Braven speakers to support it seems like it'll just get you stuck in a dying ecosystem. Also, some early reviews of the FUSE mention a companion app that helps pair to non-Braven speakers. This app either no longer exists or never did, because it's impossible to find.UPDATE:Braven's support is non-existent for this product. I've sent 3 inquiries in the last 2 weeks asking whether it supports non-Braven speakers, if the companion app actually exists, and if they support this product. Other than automated "we got your request & we'll get back to you soon" messages, I've received no response at all. At one point I was debating whether to break down & just buy Braven speakers for this after all, but their complete lack of response has convinced me to return this item & not purchase anything from them again.

Great eq
I can't comment on it's ability as a mixer. I bought this simply for it's eq feature, low, mid, high adjustment. I could never get my headphones to sound quite right, but with the ability to tweak these 3 frequency ranges, it makes a world of difference. There is slight lag through bluetooth, but hard wired, it's fantastic.

Rough
Has pretty good sound quality. Must be using AD to DA conversion, which is fine. Sounds clearer than a lot of analog mixers that cost more. The crossfader on the first one I got was defective. CH1 was being panned in addition to being attenuated. The second one I got did not have this problem, but a main summation/mixing crossfader is essentially useless on such a device. It has a slight 1 or 2dB dip in the middle, probably not a full 3dB and could therefore be used for transitions, but there’s not much point. I’d really like to remove the crossfader entirely from my unit and was considering just doing it on the first one instead of returning it. There’s no way to know how it’s wired or soldered in there until you open it up, though. The digital headphone attenuation is a defective implementation, though, as it cannot reduce the volume very much and starts just rolling off the highs. The company knows about this as I discussed this on the phone with them. For loud venues, it’s not going to be a problem. At home, you may want to use an in-line volume control or outboard headphone amp.The EQ button is inverted in function, so they appear to have changed the manual to say it's an EQ deactivation now. EQ on actually shows more accurate passing of test waveforms than off, so there's not a whole bunch of benefit to deactivating it unless you can't find the knob centers on the tone controls. It might be a teeny tiny bit more refined with EQ bypassed, but it’s subtle and a triangle wave looks more accurate with it on, anyway. The tone control stem knobs are actually properly centered, but the plastic knobs’ internal piece is not and is randomly offset. The outer part appears to have been separate from the inner part during knob assembly, so it's kind of funny that when they're joining the knob parts they're screwing it up. Your ability to know if the tone controls are centered therefore must be done by feel when it clicks into those detents. The curve on the EQs is completely fouled up and ramps up almost to max at the first 1/3 of rotation from 12 o'clock, making it very touchy, like you only have 20 degrees of rotation in either direction. The EQs should have been summed crossovers, otherwise known as isolators, and should have been pre headphone cueing. They didn’t need detents, and being heard in the headphones you’d be able to use them as your trim/gain stages, but in three bands. The crossfader should be instead fading between the CH1 and CH2 in the headphones for cueing purposes. The button left of it should be SPLIT headphone mode with CH1 in left ear and CH2 in right ear, and the right button should replace the channel cueing with the MASTER output. The upfaders, while useable, are small, clunky, and do almost nothing until at their halfway point. So to begin a transition you basically move an upfader to the middle first. The upfaders should have been just potentiometers/knobs, a.k.a. rotary-style.All the knobs need to be standard rubber & plastic ones we all know and love and not these goofy silver two-piece things. Use what works. You know the ones I’m talking about with the physical nubbins that stick out that you can feel and the white or red line on the top.The whole thing could be a couple inches wider, for that matter, and even a little taller. The innards on it seem fully capable of being used as a good quality DJ mixer, but it's been designed by their ODM stupidly. There's very little chance this was designed by an English-speaking person with actual DJing experience. An English-speaking DJ probably didn’t even beta test the prototypes. Either Braven told a Chinese company what they wanted and the Chinese company designed, built, and tested it or this was something the Braven people saw at a tradeshow, and, regardless, I suspect Braven only came up with the logo, wrote the manual, and did the marketing.

Buyer Beware...
I had such high hopes for this little piece of tech...but I digress. I've just opened the package...read the instructions...charged it to spec...attempted to fire it up...and it's dead...D.O.A. I'm so mad that I don't even want to give it a star, lol. I did some further research and found that the problem may be attributed a battery issue. I'm preparing to ship it back.

I have two inputs and the output hardwired to the Fuse. When the EQ is turned on i noticed that the sound goes out of balance, and favours the left side. Disable the EQ and everything goes back to centre.Other than that everything works as it should.

Top Gadget!!!
