i`ve used these for a couple of months now and really liked them, until i ran in to a problem. i have been using them in an HK91 and they filled in the firing pin hole in the bolt resulting in light strikes and no ignition. it took about 15 min. to clear out the junk. the primer fill looked like it had a hole drilled in it (could be just a HK issue). seems like the primer fill is hot glue, i dug it out of the pocket and filled back up with silicone.

These are 7.62's and may not work in your bolt rifles. Not one would cycle in mine. There is a small difference. But the good folks who offer these took care of the problem quickly and to my satisfaction. These are quality and so is the company. Just be aware that as of today, the description is not fully accurate. But they are not engaged in anything sneaky here.*****They have updated the description to include the NATO designation size. If you are looking for a dummy round for a 308 win precision bolt rifle, you may want to include a note to the seller indicating the 308 brass. If you are looking for a round for your military pattern rifle such as an M1A then the 7.62 is what you want. I'm sure most of you looking at these already know that but just let them know. As you read above, I ran into the same problem, but the people selling these are of the highest caliber (I know) and they will work with you to make sure you get what you need! I have changed my review from 4 stars to 5 because the product is great and the customer service is even better! I will now use them for all my different caliber needs in the future. The best thing about these is that minus the powder and primer, they are real brass and real copper clad bullets with the primer pockets filled to protect your firing pin and as far as I'm concerned, it just doesn't get any better than that. I am very particular about the parts that I use no matter what that may be and I would never recommend something here that I don't believe in or use myself.

Just what I needed to test the magazines, feed and extraction functions of the replica James River Armory M14 rifle I recently purchased. Worked perfectly. Also used the bullet tip to open the trap door in the stock (old GI trick).

I don't know what most dummy rounds are made of. I've had several other brands in different calibers that wouldn't feed into the gun because the oal was wrong.These are made using actual PMC brass and bthp projectiles...haven't had any problems using them in any of my bolt guns or my AR.

They are inert dummy rounds they are made to protect the firing pin, so far, so good, my firing pin is protected and still in one piece.
