Improved fit
Kudos to Burton for improving the fit on these boots greatly. I also had last years Photon step on's but they were shaped for the Greek foot type (where 2nd toe is the longest) and because of that I had to upsize at least half a size. This year the shape fits my foot (where 1st toe is the longest) which is the most common foot shape. Now all my toes feel equal pressure in front and I could fit into a half size smaller boot. This resulted in a much better heel hold, the boots fit like a glove now. Burton always keeps improving their products and I'm a sucker for it.

Love these boots
I think most of this equipment is overpriced but it is a great product. I felt really secure in these boots. They are comfortable and fairly responsive.

The Step On system is amazing
Total game changer. And these boots are a sinch compared to my old lace up DCs. They are super easy to put on and the BOA is a snap to adjust to the perfect tension. I love that I can adjust my foot and tension ankle independently. Very solid connection and responsive with the corresponding Step On bindings. Pretty warm too, even with regular/thin socks. My only complaint is that ankle has extra contoured padding that is a bit tight and uncomfortable for me. Otherwise I love them.

Nice fit, but they do not have a secure feel on the board like standard bindings. They just feel loose, which isn't ideal.
