Why Debbie Gibson is a legend?
Why Debbie Gibson is a legend? Maybe because she still in 2014 is.only person to have sung and.performed and was the youngest star to have done all that and went to #1! Maybe because the girl can....SING!!! Maybe because.M.Y.O.B is.one.of her greatest cds. This girl voice and.all the beats on this cd is just amazing. The way she carries her tone and the.meaning to the songs. And if people truly tended to their own affairs and stopped meddking in others...wow every celebrity would rejoice! Debbie this cd rocks love ya!

Jaded- A great song for people who have been rejected by love or the players game.6. Your Secret- Interesting coming from America's little darling of the 80's! She grew up and sings of being the other woman! I think it works well as the second track.

Listenable, tolerably purchase-able. She doesn't hold a candle to Tiffany, she is still holding second-chair to her by a long shot. We'll see where she goes from here.

Should have been her comeback
Very few teen pop princesses enjoy chart topping careers past the age of 20. Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera are exceptions to that rule. They found a way to navigate their way into adult superstars. Their 80’s equivalents Tiffany and Debbie Gibson were not so fortunate, though both have continued releasing new material through the years. Debbie Gibson’s last chart entry came from her 4th studio album, Body, Mind and Soul. “Peaking at #86 in 1993 this marked the end of her chart history. She then went on to a successful theatre career starring on Broadway, London’s West End, National Tours and high profile regional theatres. During this time she never stopped providing her die-hard fans with new material. Released in 2001 her 7th studio album M.Y.O.B. should have been her comeback. “What You Want” was released as the first single and received a positive review from Billboard and was heard on some radio stations and clubs throughout the USA. Released on her own label Debbie didn’t have the money to promote the album as the larger studios had done for her in the 80’s. Ultimately the single failed to chart though the track along with “Your Secret” did receive numerous spins in the gay clubs. The album as a whole has a nice R&B/pop feel and each track is solid. Though the stand outs are definitely the ones previously mentioned as well as the title track. Anyone ready to see how Debbie has grown musically over the years should listen to this album.
