This tool performs as advertised.Simple to use.Very accurate.

It belongs in the garbage
I was attracted to buying this tool due to the ability to charge instead of replacing all batteries, but the rotary laser just doesn’t work consistently.the reader is also cheap and read sporadically. The crap plastic mounting clip to receive a standard brass thread is laughable, and the rotary laser seems to go into and out of grade mode on its own. This is just not a reliable too for serious contractors.

Can't beat price.
Got this for a great price. Does what it is suppose to do. I do have issues with it once in a while with setting laser speed.

doesn't work out of the box
brand New out if the box and won't recognize the laser after 5 ft. I have the 18v dewalt transit laser and it still works great. cheap design / bad engineering on this one I guess

It wobbles when the laser is running very cheaply built the top is exposed where dirt can get into the laser the bottom mount for the tripod is lose when installed the receiver is also cheaply made

Arrived damaged from the factory. Highly disappointed!
Was so excited when my box arrived today. Was factory sealed, brand new. Opened it up, loved the storage case and layout inside the the box. But….then I got to inspecting the items. More to just become familiar with all the parts and ensure everything was included. Got down to the last piece, the holder for the laser detector that clamps to the grade rod. Crap!!! Broken!!! Had planned to use this tomorrow. Not anymore. Sad part is, this came from Dewalt like this. Really disappointed in their quality control. No way for this to have gotten broken inside the case. This was not a cheap purchase and I expected so much more from Dewalt. Highly disappointed.
