How To Levitate Your Moon Lamp Step1:Place the moon lamp and base on a flat, non-metallic surface. Plug the AC Adapter connected the power, and another end DC power insert the base. Step2:Start from a height of about 6 inches above the base. Carefully lower the moon with both hands directly over the center of the base, keeping it lower until you feel the upward magnetic force supporting the weight of the moon.(but when you first levitate the moon it usually would stick to the side of the base by the magnet, then try again hold up the moon and lower center slowly ) Step3:Release your hands when you feel the gravity of the moon is balanced to the upward magnetic force balance point, Approximately 0.9 inch from base ,gently let the moon go and levitate ,if it falls ,simply lift the moon and try it again Step4ļ¼Finally Touch the power sign on the base to turn on the power of your levitating moon lamp. then use your remote to chose your color. Great gift!
Gave this to my nephews as a holiday gift. It took a moment for them to get the moon it a good position, and it floats much lower than the photos show, however, once it's set up, it's awesome. You don't have to keep the light on for the globe to continue floating, however, if you unplug the base from the wall, the globe drops and magnets hold it to the base. So it doesn't go rolling off, but it also stops floating. The light settings are easy to adjust with just a touch, and the moon does spin slowly on its own, whether the light is on or not.Very cool item! They loved it.

No remote control, no crazy colors or dimmer, but this is SUPER cool š š! *READ*
The media could not be loaded. Ā Ok, my title sounds rather grim about this product, but please do hear me out.. itās an awesomely COOL product, and I like it A LOT! Iām just confused about a couple of things. **If you fully read one review, let this be it.. long as it is in hindsight, prior to your purchase.**1) Iām asked to rate a remote control, but mine at least, did not come with one, nor does it imply so in the direction pamphlet, so it doesnāt bother me, I did not expect one, I just want others to know that this model does NOT come with one, but some others do. Iām just saying that.2) there ARE models that come with many color choices at the same cost, a few a wee bit lower, some a tad higher, and those DO come with a remote. In case the moon ālookā isnāt what you are truly looking for. Iām quite content with the lovely shades of the moon on this unit. I have lamps that change colors already. I like this just fine. It depends what you are looking for. If you want the moon.. this is the moon. The face of the moon, 3D texture.. the whole enchilada. I think this model is classy, again, Iām just letting you know this to help prevent confusion because of lots of varieties of competition, and to help prevent unnecessary returns due to any confusion.3) Dimmer?? This model mentions a dimmer, but where it is, I do not know. It also mentions being chargeable, but as far as I see it gets plugged into the wall and that is that, but if I find out differently on either of these points, Iāll rescind my review for you all. If there is a dimmer, I havenāt found it on here, and if it does charge.. Iām in the dark, no pun intended, but again, Iāll rectify this if proven incorrect, naturally. As far as the different āshadesā of colors, I see 3. 2 that are most obvious to me. It shows like 4 on the box, but I show in my little video clip what mine personally does, and you can decide for yourself. Maybe there are a couple subtle changes, but to me, I see the brighter white and like an orangey, āharvest-likeā moon. I think I see a more faded whitish tone, but itās not super obvious or REALLY different, but perhaps 3. I donāt personally see beyond that. Itās enough for me. Really pretty. The tricky part is figuring out where you can change the color. I never saw it for awhile and was really confused. The directions may leave you also guessing. Then finally, I saw it on the wooden base, but you gotta really look hard **photo added of the pretty translucent, almost flat button on top of the platform.** I truly do wish they made that more obvious.. maybe on the side as a switch or something. Itās a press button. It goes off in between color changes. (See video)The great thing about this product? Itās really unique, a definite conversational piece, and I find it honestly very relaxing and even romantic to watch. The pictures can be a tad confusing on the size, so check out the dimensions first, as I always say, so that there are no surprises. That can be tough to asses from stock photos. The photos also give the illusion that the ball floats higher off of the base then it actually does. Know this going in to avoid any disappointment there. It DOES float though, and it is a cool thing what strong magnetic forces can do.The downside for me is that the bottom isnāt all translucent like the rest of the āmoonā. Only on the inside, but it shows through. I know the magnet must be there for obvious reasons, but the initial stock photo can be misleading to that as well. It is dark on the bottom where the magnet is. I wish there was a way to avoid that, but thatās the way it goes. Iām accepting of that. Some other photos show the reality, just making it known to avoid any problems with your purchase vs. your expectations.Sorry this review is so long, I like being thorough. I donāt like wasting money, and I know you donāt like wasting yours. And I also base my personal purchases highly on reviews and appreciate honest reviews only, so thatās what I always do for other consumers.. Viner or not. I always rate the same way- as if full price paid. Thatās it!Is it worth the money.. point blank? To some the answer will be an absolute YES, and to others it may fall a little short from your expectations for the cost, especially without reading reviews such as this one FIRST! To me, I think $100 at the time of writing this review is a tad steep. Iād like to see it a bit more reasonably priced. To some though, this might be like the best thing since sliced bread for a C note, so I canāt speak for you, I can only say how I feel FOR ME, and inform you as best I can about all of the pros and cons that I see/ feel. You make the final call š.If I had more personal resources, maybe I would think differently and be less frugal, but I just am frugal by nature. I do think some will feel absolutely differently, but itās a super cool item to own. It does impress me. I personally DO think it should be more affordable (to me) itās opinion again, though. Looking around other like units, itās priced competitively here on Amazon though- FACT.Go in with eyes open, read this, watch the videos, and you will NOT be disappointment if you decide to invest in this, point blank! Thatās 150% honesty! As far as getting this going, I donāt find it very hard to find the center of gravity for this unit to balance itself out, though it may take you a wee bit of practice, itās not super hard- youāll get it. Take caution when you stop it, as you will hear a thump, but although a slight bit jarring, it doesnāt harm the ball. You can hold it before stopping it though. If you shut off using the platform button.. the unit is still on and spinning. I only see a way to shut it off by pulling the plug, but maybe thereās another way I have not found yet. The directions explain very, very little. The quality seems quite good though. Iām pleased by that. A nifty idea for sure. If it went up inches instead of roughly 3/4 of an inch or so, yes.. that would be more impressive, but perhaps that isnāt a possibility. They can only do what technology can do, but very cool and interesting it is, and OMG, I forgot to mention that it rotates also, which is a really nice addition to the warm glow of the āmoon likeā ball. It really impresses me, maybe most of all. DUH me š. Itās quite cool. I donāt know HOW it rotates, but trust me.. it does! Again, see my lil video clip.I give this product, for the price, quality, aesthetics, craftsmanship, for all it is and NOT for what it is not, a total of 3.85 stars, which is rounded up to 4, and that is an above average, real good rating. That means, I am happy to have it here in my home. Most customers will, as well. Itās a perfect gift for any astrology or astronomy enthusiast, but I am neither, and Iād appreciate this gift š. I think itās an original and impressive one. All I need is a star projector and some music, and a very romantic night would be created, indeed! I really like it.āļøāļøāļø+I hope that my review has proven helpful :).

Pretty cool light with some drawbacks
Overall, this is a really cool lamp but it does have some minor annoyances to it. While it is less expensive than other comparable lights, I'm not sure it's really worth the price. There are also some things between the listing here and the manual that can be a bit misleading (or may not be explained well) so I tried to capture those observations as well.Pros:- Base is a neutral, dark "wood" finish so it blends easily into any decor- 3 color modes on the moon: warm white, cool white, and something that's in the middle (about the color of the real moon).- Nice lighting and rotation is pretty cool.Cons:- As far as I can tell, there is no dimming feature or I haven't figured out how to use it. For where I have this, it's not that big of a deal though.- Maybe I was just not getting it but the manual was less than helpful when I was trying to figure out how to turn on the dang thing. It says there's a switch on the base to turn the lighting on. It is NOT a switch at all- it's a teeny, tiny imprint on one corner (TOUCH enabled) that I didn't even see until I saw one of the reviews mentioning it and I went back to look. Considering the number of times I removed the light and had to put it back as I was trying to figure out how to change the lighting, this was SUPER frustrating- It can take a few tries to get the positioning right so the moon levitates. If it's wrong, it'll come crashing into the base with a loud "thud" from the magnets. My first try was successful and I mistakenly thought it was easy peasy since I got it so easily. All the subsequent tries seemed to be much more difficult to place it correctly. No idea why but I was messing with it for a good 15+ minutes between trying to get the positioning correct as well as the lighting.- Depending how particular you are, the seams are visible from the 3D printing and the bottom is partially darkened due to the base/magnets in it. Probably unavoidable but it does not look nearly as perfect as the pictures imply- I don't know that this is really a con (might be for some) but there seems to be mentions of a remote control either in the listing or elsewhere. There is no remote. I was not expecting one but this may be a drawback for some.
