I found out about this one from the ’Greedy Gourmet’ blog. It is pared down to basics - quality stainless steel no extraneous ’bits’ or casing. There is an on/off lever which engages the forward spiralizing function and when off allows forward and back adjustment to the length of the veg/fruit. Finally, it is very easy to clean the gripping disc in situ, but it can be removed. I use a brush for the disc and blades. My first tryout was for onion bhajis which turned out brilliantly. Is it more valuable than a plastic one ?** A: For my personal, i will choose the full 304 stainless steel spiralizer. Firstly, the price is not much expensive than plastic one; secondly the quality is much better than plastic thing. You can use it for long time than the plastic, especially for over one year passed, the plastic surface will change yellow and dirty, hard to wash and clean. The one I received today did not have a drawer in the bottom of the slicer.
